Quit the app on your iPhone, then give it time... didn't show up for me at first either... but next time I launched app, all the playlists were there!
cool I did that and now they are showing up. I like this app this may be my favorite one now.

I hope Apple releases something like this. Not having access to DRM files makes it useless for myself. Almost all my music is bought from iTunes.

Hopefully, something will come out giving DRM access.

So cool, in my office with one bar on Edge I was able to get into my library at home :) very cool. Sure it took about 1 minute to buffer but the song played once done buffering with no problem.

Strange. Wonder what I'm doing wrong. My phone refuses to connect. I've been emailing back and forth with the devs for the last hour or so, and still no luck.

can now see and play from manu20 vaio. Some good stuff.

I'm lovin my iPhone. I can do so much on it, so much better than my old N95.

WOOT! For some unknown reason, I'm up and running.

Hell yeah, this kicks much ass.

Two things I've noticed with this app:

1. When launched, even after it scans my library, it causes my iMac to slow to a crawl, so doing anything is next to impossible...
2. For some reason it uses up about 500MB of hard drive space when active...

Once I shut down Simplify Media, I get my 500 MB of space back and I can actually use my iMac. Strange behavior... I never did get my iPhone to connect to my iMac's library (I was on the same WiFi network, do I need to be outside my network like the Teleport app I wonder?)

While SimplifyMedia is "scanning libraries" I checked in Lbirary/Application Support/Simplify Media and my server database file is 300MB and growing. The file has never been over 50MB.

Ahh, that would explain why I had 500MB missing all of a sudden... so I wonder why Simplify Media creates such a large database if it is only creating pointers to the songs? But that is a lot of extra real estate to lose from your hard drive just to be able to stream what is already on your hard drive...

dottunes.net

A few reasons I still prefer http://www.dottunes.net/iphone.html to Simplify are:

1) I have created different usernames and passwords for my friends and each user has access to different playlists - you can't do this with Simplify

2) dot tunes lets me play all my DRM tracks

3) dot tunes lets me stream my movies to my iPhone

4) no buffering issues with dot tunes. My connection isn't sent through a remote central server it's direct from my iPhone to my desktop dot tunes

5) No user limit with dot tunes as there is with Simplify

6) No central server able to monitor my use of the app, what I share or what my friends listen to. If Google is forced to give up their user data, who's to say Simplify wont have to at some stage

7) My friends who don't yet have an iPhone can also listen to my library via their web browser without installing any software

8) Can share my library within a home network with no internet access

9) With dot tunes I have admin access via my iPhone where I can create new user accounts and update access of my users

10) I can leave dot tunes tracks playing on my iPhone while I return to Springboard and the tracks keep playing in the background

Ok so I've been using dot tunes for a while now and I'm a big fan but these are just 10 things I've come up with off the top of my head...there is a lot more. For example, I've been testing the latest beta and it loads my 25,000 track library in around 15 seconds. Anyone like to comment on how long it takes to load 25,000 tracks with Simplify? I'd reveal how long it took for me but you'd think I'm exaggerating.

Dot tunes is like the big brother to Simplify. I mean, I can do things like browse my library on my iPhone and create favorites then when viewing my favorites I can enter a new playlist name within dot tunes on the iphone and send the new playlist back to dot tunes on my desktop app where it gets auto created in my iTunes app - presto! a new Playlist containing tracks I've selected on my iPhone. Then I create a new user/pass for a friend and give them access to this new playlist - all from my iPhone. I do this all the time and it works like magic!

Mine went down last night, but now it seems to be working.

Only problem is it only shows music, ie. All Albums, All Artists, etc., doesn't show anything for movies?

Any idea?

If the phone goes into sleep, does it lose the connection?

EDIT: Nevermind, I just read the description, its not for movies, only music.

It doesn't stream movies or video, yet.

Connection stays active, even if the phone goes to sleep.

Thats interesting, as i can log into your collection you shared with us earlier-but not my own!?

What did you do, that might help me?

Check your firewall settings. I let a program called SNMP Trap through my firewall, and it fired right up.

Let me know if that works for you, I'd love to send the tip back to the devs that have been helping me out for the last 6 hours or so.

I can't get all my music. Only part of it.

Anyone else having this problem? I don't have time to search through ~300 posts.

I shouldn't see this being a problem with the mobile operators - They don't mind us streaming YouTube videos.

Not bad for a free App...almost all of my music fits on my device, though, so I don't know how useful it will be for me anyway...

Haha, same.

I downloaded it then thought "hang on... all the music I'd WANT to listen to is already on my iPhone".

Facepalm >.<

Can't find SNMP trap? What/where is it?

Can still link to your account!!!

I get these messages in the troubleshooting menu;

"The Troubleshooting tool could not retrieve the number of files you are sharing. This could happen if the application is not yet connected or is in process of updating this information. Please wait and run the Troubleshooting tool again. If the problem persists, please select Report Issue."

and

"There are no remote files available. You may want to install the application on other computers or use the invite feature to connect with friends."

Suddenly can't get in

I wonder if their servers are getting slammed or something - it was working great this morning and now all of the sudden, it won't connect to my Library - tried and for a while it just said it was buffering, now it's lost the library...

anyone else having issues?

I downloaded this last night and tried it out over Wifi and it worked great. It was not till this morning that I tried it over the 3G network and the Edge Network and could not get it to work at all. It just kept buffering and buffering. I then tried it over the WiFi again and it worked just fine. So, I could not get it to stream over anything BUT Wifi. Could this have something to do with the fact that my Mac at home is connected to my network via Wifi? Not sure if that would cause a problem. I doubt it though since I can get it over net via Wifi from a different location. I am stumped on this one. Would love to get it to work for me like everyone else.

Update:
I cannot get passed the connecting to Libraries screen. :(

Now mine is doing the same thing. When I open the app on my phone it just says "Connecting to libraries" and sits there for ever and ever.

Yes, I've noticed a few problems too. My shares keep dropping off and I've had a few buffering issues.
