Imo the jb was just a marketing spin to offset Apple using basically the same shell 3 years running. Make it look like shiny glass when it's not.

Yeap replacement for it, 3 weeks old rocking naked. Reckon it's a bad batch or it's just the way how jetblack was made
Interesting you say that. My local Verizon representative said the same thing when I preordered Gold 7 Plus. Although I don't have A lot experience handling the Jet Black iPhone.
Played around with a Jet Black device at an Apple Store, and I feel that they could have achieved the same visual effect using some sort of high quality glossy polycarbonate.
Of course plastic wouldn't be as heavy or feel as substantial in the hand.

I have an iPhone 7 256GB in May Black, I always put my phone in a case. However, it's only for scratch protection. I like them to be as thin as possible to keep the form factor.
Resale value is important for me, as I upgrade at least once every 12 months. For example, last phone was an S7 Edge and one before that iPhone 6S. Far easier to sell and get top price if you take care of them.
I can highly recommend the TOZO ultra slim, can be had on Amazon for very little. Fits perfectly and should protect your JB.
Your arrogance is astounding.
Nice looking case - is that lined at all?
Lined? You mean inside?
It's essentially a rigid shell (with slight bent), very thin. Also has ridge which sits over side of camera lens, so resting it on the back won't scratch it.
People are still fighting/justifying their JB or MB purchase? lol
I have a jet black, got it in late Sept. Have used it with a bumper case mostly, exposed back.
Does it have micro-scratches? Yes, of course it does.
Does it bother me, the owner? Nope. Actually, in my opinion. it gives the phone some personality. And if the 2017 iPhone is all its cracked up to be, I only have 10 months or so left with it, so I'll enjoy it while I can.
sorry but what's the point of having a Jet Black (or any color for that matter) when you hide and cover it under such an ugly, cheap looking plain case?I have an iPhone 7 256GB in May Black, I always put my phone in a case. a nice clear case maybe but this?
I see this comment often but that can be said for any color. It not like we JB owners paid a premium price for the JB color.
I have a JB 7+256 and since day one it has been in a CM4 Q CASE just like my SG 6s+ was and my SG 6+ was.
what are you gonna do with in 10 month when the new iphone comes out?

the solution will be a a clear (transparent) case.with similar form factor, etc just clear. For one - the look of a case is subjective... I like a simple, clean and ultra thin case. The only purpose of the case for me is to reduce the chance of scratches, i'm happy to accept the risk of falls as i like to retain the form factor.
I agree, i think it's a shame we bang these incredibly nice looking phones in cases. I'd love to not have to - but unfortunately i also upgrade every 6-12 months (Switching back and forth from iOS / Android), i wouldn't want to risk that something in my pocket causes a deep scratch and affect it's resale value. Primary reason i've always gotten the very top price for my phones used - is that they're always in immaculate condition.
