Honestly, I wonder if you'll be happy with Jet Black. If you are looking at the back of the phone and noticing these, they will always be there. A wrap will take away the grip and feel of JB.

I've kept the same phone and am really happy with it, using it naked and loving it :)

It's not even my main phone and it gets scratched a bit....but it adds to the character.

I like the "worn used" look. Not everyone does; those people should stick to the black model or the older space grey on the 6/6s phones.

But those who don't mind, yes you get the micro abrasions but they don't diminish the jet black colour. You can still see it well

Zero scratches, however I dropped it this morning with a small dent in the top left corner. Hopefully it covers under accidental damage. We"ll see. Other then that, everything is in pristine condition

i remember when the iphone 3g and 3gs used to get microscratches too.

people didnt care back then. now, apple points it out, and people all of the sudden care!

I would love a jet black iphone 7. I don't have one myself...
In that time, nobody care, every phone is easier scratch.

But out of sudden, everybody care.

Mine is in mint condition and I cant see any scratches at all. I dont go looking for them with a magnifying glass and in superb light though.
When using it naked, i always wrap it in a microfiber cloth. When I used it to go out I put a product red silicone case that I wash about twice a week.

Love the color.

Mine is looking pretty battered now, both front and back, with lots of scratches, but I'm still glad I got the JB. They're only visible if you are looking for them, and in all other conditions, it looks superb. I'm stuck on iOS 10.1 as the 'bug' allowing you to enable a black dock and folders was fixed in 10.2, and it looks terrible otherwise, but I still think it's the best looking iPhone yet.

Gives it character for the scratches. I think after while, you just adjust to the scratches and appreciate it for what it is.

I've yet to get any scratches on my JB 7. After a month of caseless use, I feel like the claims of scratching are far overblown.

Here is what a friend said.

"Fingerprint heaven. Ha ha. But no scratches. I'm pretty sure if you hold it to a bright light, however, you can see a scratch or two. *Moves to a bright area* Oh yeah, there are some scratches. But unless if you are in a sunny area, you won't notice it all. You see all of these horrible pictures of scratches and complete sanity but to me, they are being over dramatic thinking that people will get a knife and rub it against their phone."

Trust me they are not overblown. Ive had mine for two months and it is scratched to hell. I actually used my JOD to switch to matte black 7 plus yesterday.

This makes me feel better that they'll take it scratched up when I go to jump towards the end of this year. I was concerned.

Not that mine will be that bad, but I've gotta cover all my bases anyways.

No chips or scratches, but fingerprints galore. I now have it in a case. No longer an issue.

Which case? I have two more clear ones coming in the mail Monday. I'm not having very good luck with these, I'm through 2 already. One has the wet effect, the other had a defective bumper.

I like the minimalist approach. Bought two micro thin cases from Amazon.

Super thin and transparent dark smoke color. Barely tell you have case on it. I bought two based on previous experiences. If you take it off or catch an edge they stretch slightly. This one is staying tight so far. Looks good to me.

Sorry that happened to you! I'd side more with Caveman - just took my phone to the Florida Keys and Everglades. No case, but plenty of sand, water, and grit. Never babied it, never cared about any potential issues, often set it with keys, wallet, etc. It was only under the overhead light on the airplane that I noticed one (1) new micro scratch. Couldn't see it under any other lighting. To me, that's way way worth it. Love the phone more by the day!

So I gave my rose gold 7+ to my wife and got a jet black 7+. My daughter got me a black leather apple case, so that's where it'll live. Hopefully it stays scratch free for some time. We'll see.

I love it!!! I have a case that shows the back of the phone and not a single scratch or spec of dust. The clear back of the case suction cups to the phone which completely protects it. It causes some bubbles but it doesn't bother me. I just want it protected.

oh my god who the **** cares if your sthas a nack or scratch or whatever. ****** ocd first-worlders

I'm sorry but people who pay out of pocket for an iPhone want it to be in pristine condition all the time. I paid $750 for mine and I would also like it to be protected. But people who don't protect it enough with a garbage case, that's then their fault if something happens. But I protect mine because I appreciate it and want the body itself to last.

For all the OCD infected folks, watch the Foxconn yt vid produced by abc news. If your mind state is still wrapped up in micro scratches, waffling between case or no case, which color is right for me, etc post viewing session, im sorry, you can't be helped. Please, get a life.

Not everybody worries about that. This 128GB 7+ was what, $900ish? I bought it to enjoy it, not to worry about the casing being "pristine". I don't fault you for feeling how you feel, but you can't make that generalization.
