Some micro scratches, but it still looks awesome to me and the scratches are only noticeable in certain lighting/really looking. I've had it since October and go naked majority of the time.

I have had mine about 3 months and use an Apple leather case. The only place I see scratching on the JB surface is on the bottom/back where it curves. Lots of scuffs/scratching but the rest is pretty flawless. Overall I'm happy as a pig in poo.

The best case by far is the lifeproof Nuud. Shows off the gorgeous color

Is it safe to say that Apple branded cases generally prevent scratches from the bottom of the JB iPhone (compared to cases without the microfibre lining)?
I would think so. Despite the gap, the leather is thick enough to prevent the bottom from hitting any surface, given the surface is relatively flat.

Just bought a jet black iPhone and it was immediately covered with a matte black case lol.

Without a case it slipped out of my pocket at least 4-5x yesterday. Slippery.

Interesting....from what I have heard from owners of the black matte iPhone and from what I experienced in the Apple store before making my purchase of the jet black was that the black matte was actually much more slippery than the jet black. I bought the jet black in order to admire the beauty of this iPhone and only occasionally do I put a case on her.

Definitely looks good! Just didn't really want to spend life proof money when the phone is already waterproof and I barely go to the beach!

Terrible I think

I'm not really a fan either but the black one is at least passable in my opinion. I got the blue one and it made my phone looks so cheap like a Fisher-Price toy so I returned it. I really don't like how these cases make our beautiful phones look but in some scenarios they are necessity. I definitely wouldn't carry my phone in this case as an every day carry type case though.

I've never used a case and I'm actually quite pleased with the way my jet black 7 is holding up. No scratch has gotten through the black finish, which is great. Of course it's got light scratches, but they're not easy to notice. Overall I'm satisfied.

Apple's finishing of the stainless steel watch kinda sucks, but that's a different story.

Update as I've posted in this thread a few times now...

Had mine for 4-5 months now, ceaseless, and although it has microscratches, it doesn't bother me one bit. Can really only see them in direct light and even then the phone has an odd character about it with the scratches.

Still looks great 90% of the time

Plus jet black really is the nicest colour ;)

I usually won't get a scratch on my iPhones in the year I have them (buy new one each release) but my Jet Black looks like its been dragged through gravel. It looks OK from a distance still and the color is very nice to the touch so still prefer it but boy does it scratch easily.

Not well I'm afraid
Here's mine used in a Spigen Liquid Crystal case since purchase.

I was shocked when recently pulled it out to clean, last I did in Dec there were only 2 scratches.

No issues with felt lined apple leather case. Any debris that get inside a hard case will destroy the anodized finish. It just natural physical abrasion. And sand grains will really do a number. Keep it bare or keep it in soft lined case, away from sand, pocket debris, and clean often.

I got my iPhone 7 Plus 256GB (Jet Black) phone last week.

I had already planned of not using a case. Just like when I used my iPhone 6 Plus 128gb and iPhone 6s Plus 128gb. Never used a case.

On the very first day I installed the Armorz glass full screen protector for the front and the back I had installed a clear 3M film protection (full body). The 3M film will protect the phone from scratches. No need to get stressed when using the phone and also can show off the jet black look.

Here is the front of my phone with the Armorz glass screen protector

Back of my Jet Black phone with the 3M film installed

I have these pouches to carry my phone

SF Bags Suede sleeve

Joli Originals and Snugg Leather pouches

I also got Apple Care+ for my phone.

Hi, can u tell me where or which store in Hong Kong does the 3M wrap?

Had to put this on my 7+. I saw a couple scratches on it the other day after removing the case. Not sure how they got there, maybe from the dust/dirt that collects inside the case. Haven't had an issue since I installed this protector.
