The battery life issues with my Airpods Pro 2 have made it the worst Apple product I've ever used. Unless I leave them on charge they're always flat whenever I go to use them, I'd say 2-3 days of sitting on my table unused will see the case flat.

My regular Airpods 3 next to them will still be 100% charge.

I've tried the whole removing from Find My dance but it's never made an improvement. SURELY Apple is aware of this issue unless we're supposed to leave them on charge 24/7.

Idk if it's just me or what, but ever since updating to the latest iOS, my APP2 battery life has drastically improved.

I wear mine during the week about 1.5 hours a day and have to charge twice a week. Yesterday the Apple Store replaced the case for me. I'll see if that helps at all.

Same.
Today I also saw for the first time battery drain overnight right after charging them at and not using them at all.
Not even a sign of getting any better, just worse and worse.
I really hope that they will release another case without issues and replace ours with that one.

My theory is it has something to do with the case being able to communicate with the phone etc without the AirPods. It gas its own BT transmitter etc built in. Somehow this may be leading to battery drain.

Even if you turn off all these find my features, the case is still using a ridiculous amount of battery to charge the AirPods and some random standby drain on top of that.

Ive had mine since last year and i never had the battery drain issue but ive noticed now since about 2-3 weeks ago the case is draining the battery rapidly overnight like others have reported.
Not sure if its from the latest iOS update or from a firmware update that was pushed to the AirPods case?

Either way before mine use to last about 2 weeks before i needed to charge the case now im lucky if it will last 5 days.
Last night when i went to bed i had 27% showing on the battery case, i wake up this morning and the case is down to 3% and thats with ZERO usage of the AirPods.

Hope there's a fix incoming soon!

I have noticed my iPhone showing the battery percentage pop up at the top of the screen randomly with my AirPods just in my pocket. Also the same thing in my iPad which I have never paired with. Has to be causing som le of the battery drain. Here are some screenshots of may battery widget and how they randomly change over and over also just in my pocket out of use.

Anytime you have a device that is logged into the SAME iCloud/appleID account, the PAIRING information gets synced across as well as some of the battery information.

If the devices in the sync list is nearby, it might connect via bluetooth when nearby and at the top of the screen (and in this side view image you show) you will see current (although it can be somewhat laggy) battery status.

One of the things you can and should do, for more than just battery reasons is let the device connect to that device (it sounds like in your case the ipad) and go into the Bluetooth settings for that device (the APP) and select DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY CONNECT TO THIS DEVICE From then on, you won’t get auto connections when nearby and you won’t see the top of the screen pop-ups when nearby. You MIGHT still see your overall devices battery status, but I think for the APP you won’t.

I just noticed my APP2 battery case is draining like crazy this past week. I don't use it often, so I only charge the case like once every other week at most. Charged it early last week, and a few days later it was down to 1%. Charged it back up yesterday, and down to 48% now, unused. Find my has been on ever since I bought it. It must be caused by firmware 5e133 which it helped itself to install some time last week.

Sorry folks are having issues. OTOH, it seems I'm not alone. I only noticed issues after the most recent software update.

Before the last update my APP2 Case would take a week or so to drain down below 20%. Since the last update my case goes from 100% to 20% in less than 24 hour period.

The new update didn't fix this for me. I also had apple replace the case a couple of weeks ago and no fix. I'm beginning to think it's a bad design at this point.

Mine always lasted around 2 weeks before I needed to charge the case up.
Now I’m struggling to last 5 days and that’s with less usage of the AirPods as well!!

Prior to the latest software update, my AirPods Pro 2 case would last a week (with ~20% left). I have charged mine twice this week.

My typical use is about 90 minutes per day at the gym, then back in the case, always fully charging on Sundays.

I am going to reset and see if that fixes the issue.

Thank you for sharing your solution for the battery drain issue on the AirPods Pro 2 case. It's always helpful to hear about different solutions that have worked for people.

Suddenly mine I think has stopped rapid draining the case.
Charged it on Monday and it did start to drain but from Wednesday it hit 77% remaining, today it’s Saturday morning and its still at 77% battery left the case.

I hope I havnt jinxed it now and the issue has gone away by it self!

Reset and repaired, fully charged around 4PM and they are currently at 100% 13 hours later.

I have same problem but with airpods pro 1. How do I turn them off in find my without unpairing them? And when I repair them won't it just turn them back on in find my ?

I simply unpair and re-pair them with my gadgets.
And that fixed the problem for you? I already tried resetting them and pair them again but dont think it helped, yesterday the case was at 95% and today it was down to 88%, and I had not used them during this time, so this doesnt seem normal, it didnt drain this fast in the past.

When i just got mine there was some drainage too but that settled without doing anything. The past few weeks however it seems to have come back.

I use them like 4 or 5 times a week for approximately 30-40 minutes per time. That is a total of about 2-3 hours of usage. After a week the case has drained to about 30%.

If i do the quick math like how Apple advertises 'With multiple charges in your case, you get up to 30 hours of listening time, or up to 24 hours of talk time' then i should perhaps lose about 10-20% of charge of the case. So after a week the case should be on 80-90% and not 30%. Even with slight drain it should not reach 30%.

Yesterday i tried a reset and then a full charge to 100%. After that i put them in the drawer. I just took them out and the case is on 90% without any usage !
