iPhone Sparrow+

Settings are in the main (1st page) settings screen under the apple items (in mine it's below the App Store selection.

I also lost my original mail.app icon. The only time for me when it opens up is when I click on the test button in sparrow. Other than that, most tests still open up the original mail app and I don't seem to be getting push OR notifications from sparrow... meh...

Dude, I meant the data push settings in the sparrow app which appear once people have sparrow push. I don't have them and looks like you don't have them either as your push isn't working. Anyone here who can help out.
 
Works for me with sparrow+ from then insanily repo mentioned above. Using the version from bigboss repo does not show the push option. On sunday the dev will release a new version as he mentioned on twitter.

Yeah but people would rather install a version from a unreliable repo because they can't wait 2 whole days. Yet those will be the first ones to complain about issues with their iDevice and won't understand why.
 
Is there a way get Sparrow+ to continue to push/fetch email without having to open the app first and have it running in the background?

That's the 'million dollar question' but I do not think there is a way w/o it open/running in the background......unless the NEW update tomorrow delivers a nice surprise! Stay tuned.
 
Just downloaded sparrow+ I don't get any notifications and when I go in to sparrow settings there is no toggle to turn push off or on. This happened in the past to me and just had to delete and reinstall everything a few times and one time it finally worked. Any help here.

Dev just added Sparrow+ 1.3 to his own repo: freemanrepo.com/repo

I removed the one from the insanelyi repo and installed the "official" tweak. Works great. As Sparrow 1.3.1 is in the queue, I hope Sparrow+ will work with thos version as well.

Downloaded and it installed great. I got a popup when I resprang that said it was all set. But it is still not pushing and it is still not in notification center. Emails are still notifying me through Mail banners????

Did you double check the push settings in the Sparrow App? Go to settings, if you are having more than one account you will find it within the account details.

I'm not sure, if Sparrow+ will handle the notification. I am using a notifier tweak for this.

Thanks, push is working now. I had Sparrow Push in the past and I think it was in a different location. What notifier tweak do you use. I would love to have it show up there.
 
Default mail as sparrow

Have installed the new sparrow+ and still have sparrow push, but whatever I do it won't allow Sparrow to be the default mail app. I have enabled it in settings. Any ideas?

Just went back to my phone and found Sparrow in NC. Could have sworn it wasn't there at the time of my last post. Have everything installed and its working like a charm. Default mail, NC, and Push. Just took my Mail app out of NC and turned everything off in it. Really turns me on to Sparrow. Too bad they have to jump through so many hoops with Apple & this all can't be done without JB.

I am using OpenNotifier. Plays a sound and puts an icon up into the status bar - thats enough for me.
 
Sparrow+ Push doesn't seem to play nice with OpenNotifier on my device. Has anyone else noticed this?
 
Got it working and I even created a couple of icons just for Sparrow.

Icons

1. You'll need OpenNotifier from Cydia.
2. Use iExplorer/iFile/whatever to place all of the icons into /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework [Note: If you don't have a retina device, then you don't need to worry about the @2X images. If you have a retina device, then you must place all four in the directory]
3. Select the new Sparrow icon in Settings>OpenNotifier>Apps>Sparrow and then respring.

Been using Sparrow+ for sometime now with no issues. Went to update today and i've run into this issue:

Sparrow+ stays in my Changes Tab as if it stills needs to be updated. Every time, same thing.

And now my Push Notifications no longer work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
