Oh... no fair.It is in the UK. So Netflix have some rights to it at least.
Almost completely correct. Canada is another exception.Yes, outside of the US it’s on Netflix.
The price Netflix paid for the new “Star Trek: Discovery” series (sight unseen as the show went straight to series) will cover the show’s production costs.
“I go to bed at night a lot happier knowing that ‘Star Trek’ is 100 percent paid for before it goes on our All Access service,” Moonves said.
What was the final verdict on Discovery? ...a huge hit or ehh?
According to Parrot Analytics, it is the #1 most popular streaming show in the US, UK, and Switzerland.
Furthermore, its financial success is causing Paramount to consider up to four additional Trek projects.
Personally, I have not seen it yet. I am waiting for it to come to a service I use.
Netflix is a streaming service with a huge amount of original content, and quit a bit of popular TV and movies, priced at about $9 a month (I think, I'd have to check my bill.)Yes, agreed, as I don't want to embarrass myself by asking what is this thing called Netflix?
Anyway, I don't have it, don't use it, and, to be honest, don't even know what it is. (Enlightenment welcome).
For now, I'll wait until I can view it on a platform that is accessible to me.
Or through a computer web browser, phone app, or tablet app.Netflix is a streaming service with a huge amount of original content, and quit a bit of popular TV and movies, priced at about $9 a month (I think, I'd have to check my bill.)
It is accessed in the States by a Roku Device, Apple TV both hooked to your TV (require wireless, or wired networked connection), possibly though your cable service, and possibly directly through your fairly new TV or DVD, BluRay player. All require a networked connection, but your TV may provide it through your cable, not sure, as I don't access it through my TV.
Yes, I overlooked these avenues as I don't ever use them, not that there is anything wrong with them.Or through a computer web browser, phone app, or tablet app.
Thanks for filling in some of the holes I left in my Netflix description.About the cheapest method to watch Netflix onto your TV if you don't have a smart TV with Netflix app built into it is via a device like a https://store.google.com/us/product/chromecast_2015?hl=en-US ($35 USD), Amazon Fire TV stick, or Roku Streaming Stick. TV needs to have HDMI in though.
For Chromecast, you can use your iOS device or Android device or computer on the same network to control it, since it comes with no remote. I have no experience w/the latter two devices.
At home, I have a Chromecast, an Apple TV 4K and an old Roku 3 and have used them all w/Netflix to watch it on my TV. I've also used my PS3, which is a painful experience, at best. I think I tried my Xbox 360, as well.
Harlan Ellison, one of the world’s foremost science fiction writers, has died at 84. His death was announced by family friend Christine Valada via twitter. Though Ellison was a longtime resident of Los Angeles, the location of death was not disclosed.
Tweeted Valada, the widow of Wolverine creator Len Wein: “Susan Ellison has asked me to announce the passing of writer Harlan Ellison, in his sleep, earlier today. “For a brief time I was here, and for a brief time, I matter.’ – HE, 1934-2018. Arrangements for a celebration are pending.”

Fans of that episode who haven't read about its contentious background might find it fascinating. In the years since, Ellison wrote a book about it, published its original screenplay, and had a hand in a well-received comic adaptation of the original screenplay. All worth a gander.
I just saw an interview conducted with Patrick Stewart where he mentioned that his favourite episode of STNG was The Inner Light.

I'm not really on Twitter (my tweets are mainly to enter drawings/sweepstakes) but I do follow @RikerGoogling. That guy is pretty funny. And yes, I know he runs at least two of the three others you mentioned. For those on Twitter, do you follow any of these accounts?

Yeah, one guy runs all of those accounts except for @swear_trek. They're all pretty good and I saw when Frakes replied to @RikerGoogling too. What was pretty funny is that awhile ago, https://twitter.com/jonathansfrakes actually replied to one of the RikerGoogling tweets.
