Oh, man. I've wanted Left 4 Dead 2 badly for so long and now it's on sale! Unfortunately I live in Australia, so I'd be stuck with the 'low violence' version. Maybe I can find a way to move overseas within the next day.

I read on the Steam forums, yesterday, for L4D2 that there are some options you can use when running the game to give you the uncensored version, in Australia. It's probably still on the first page of the forums.

Yea was just going to post that Torchlight one. I don't generally like these kind of games but I found Torchlight really addictive and fun, anyone on the fence needs to get it. So good. So very very good.

As I've said, it was worth the $20 I paid, a bargain at the $10 sale price and an absolute steal at $5!

Well ... I still hope they get the Mac version released at some point ... maybe through the Steam Mac client.

Damnit. I am considering uninstalling Windows when Mac Steam comes out, but now I want to buy Torchlight for $5 :(

the developers of torchlight are making a mac version, so if they bring that to steam it's possible you'll be able to switch that too

But I don't want to buy it if I won't be able to play it. Maybe I'll just wait for it to go on sale in a few months time, and by then hopefully it is out and has Steam Play. I also asked on the official forums, hopefully I get an answer.

I REALLY want to buy Torchlight for 5 bucks but am off on vacation till next Tuesday away from my machine. Is it possible to email them and have them hold it for you till you're back and can buy it?

Paul

If you can access email you can log into your account on the web and buy the game. Heck, I've bought PC stuff from my Mac.

I'm a huge Half-Life fanatic. Here's my question: I have HL, HL Source, OpForce, Blue Shift, HL2, HL2E1, HL2E2, Portal, DoD, CS Source and a bunch of other games purchased through Windows Steam.

Will I be able to download them for Mac Steam, or will it make me buy them again?

Looks like we can't get rid of Windows that easily yet!

If you read *any* of the news items, or any of the threads here you would know:
- Steam Mac will allow you to download *for free* all Valve games you already own on PC (so long as they are registered to your PC Steam account)
- All Valve games on Mac will be native versions (no Cider-ware)

I didn't think they said "ALL" games will have Mac Versions, but I thought they said all OrangeBox games would have Mac versions.

But still damn good. I want to get HalfLife-Source on my Mac... that's what I'm waiting for now. But then again, right now Halflife (regular) runs great under Crossover.

Ah the memories. I think Quake was the last online game I was really good at... mostly because people were still using dial up and I worked at an ISP and was sitting on a T1 line and ran circles around everyone :D

Man I miss grappling across a CTF map...

I already own these as part of the id collection, but that's a great deal. It's a lot of Quake!

Borderlands is 50% off this weekend. I was trying to think of a joke making fun of the iPad but I can't because I'm tired so now I'm going to go play Arkham Asylum because I bought it a long time ago and haven't played it enough to make it worth my while yet.

Borderlands. Sale.

buy borderlands. now. it is absolutely awesome. and runs so well! i have everything on high with the dynamic shadows turned off and get perfect performance. unless i shoot someone in the face with a corrosive gun and i'm right on top of them, 9600gt struggles a bit with all the acid bubbles. poor little guy...

I'd be tempted by Borderlands but I'm not keen on multiplayer games that don't have free DLC. Also a friend is really obsessed with it (even made a song for it too) but says its just way too buggy and it's a pain to play with friends.
