As a resident doctor I can tell you that things are not looking good for Steve. It looks to me like his cancer has now spread and they have given up on treatment. Remember this is just my opinion, but to see someone take a massive turn in condition like that is not good.

Steve may be on his last leg.

^^^Zoom in and look. It doesn't look as straight. I think it's the way the sun is shining. I hope I'm wrong.

It sure seems that the guy on the right is posing for the pics ... who is he? does he work at TMZ?

IMO these pics are not Steve Jobs

Most likely whoever took the photo sold it to TMZ. It's not like they have their own photographers everywhere.

That guy could be anyone- a friend, a relative, a doctor, a nurse, a PT, a personal assistant, a body guard, a driver, etc- why would you assume it's someone who works at TMZ?

Not even TMZ would stoop so low as to photoshop something like this. It's sickening to see them publish the picture, but I have no doubts it's genuine and taken when they say it was.

Millions of people. I know lawyers, doctors, PhDs, engineers, accountants, etc. who read it on a daily basis.

My wife (a lawyer) and mother (a former teacher) read it on a daily basis.

Don't be so insulting.

And those professions automatically qualify someone's intelligence?

I don't know about you, but I've met some pretty stupid lawyers, doctors, PhDs, engineers, accountants, etc...

I assure you that my wife and mother are highly intelligent. FFS:rolleyes:

Did you skip over that part? You must have, as you didn't bold it.

I'm going to look at the picture out of my own morbid curiosity but then I'm going to make a post about how people are so devious and wrong for wanting to look at pictures of him as hes so frail!

I really hope that this is photoshopped and have to agree with someone earlier, why would he ask to be on the board in this state?

Also, look at the folds on the black thingy near his knees, its an almost right angle, perfect straight line... Chances of that happened, 1 in a million? Billion? Could all be my brain hoping that it's all a lie but i seriously call Photoshop... Another reason to curse Adobe... :/

Great, that accounts for two people. Keep going...

No, I just didn't assume that they were representative of every lawyer, doctor, PhD, engineer, accountant, etc... that 'reads' TMZ.

EDIT:
Do you think they are an accurate representation of the 18.5 million people who read TMZ? If you do, I'd wager you've been reading too much TMZ.

All the bloody care is to make ppl look like walking CORPSES to get more hits.

Listen to Vicarious by Tool. Exactly describes the situation.

There has been, and continues to be, a prevailing and shocking level of denial about Jobs deteriorating health amongst the insensitive and flippant observers who post in this forum.

If one had stayed current with the ongoing news that has been printed about Mr Jobs condition, and done nothing more than a few Google searches to educate themselves, they would realize that his condition is in fact, grave.

Why do you really think it's appropriate to make sweeping insulting generalizations like this:

Who has the limited mental capacity needed to read those sites regularly?

Again, who could?

That **** doesn't fly in PRSI, why should it be allowed in this thread?

I'm sure there are both intelligent people and unintelligent people who read TMZ. But to assume that anyone who reads it on a regular basis has a "limited mental capacity" isn't fair.

Unless you have some sort of source or something to back up what you are implying.....:roll eyes:

As I've said before, I don't read TMZ and i despise celebrity gossip. I just understand how a company like TMZ works because I know people who work there.

Who knows what an accurate representation of TMZ's readers is. Until a scientific poll is done, it is unfair for you to assume they are all idiots.

See what i'm surprised about is how some people are so ...i guess, surprised that this can be true.

Pretty much every time we've seen Steve in the last few years he's lost more and more weight and sounded more and more weak.

He's not getting any better if he resigned, and this would fit in with his rapid weight loss....i think he looks worse with the unkempt hair and facial hair but its certainly believable.

Personal anecdotes don't fly in PRSI either, but you don't see me calling ******** on your wife and mothers supposed professions, do you?

I'm sure there are both intelligent people and unintelligent people who read TMZ. But to assume that anyone who reads it on a regular basis has a "limited mental capacity" isn't fair.

Then let me make is clear I was expressing a personal opinion, not a statement of fact.

Unless you have some sort of source or something to back up what you are implying.....

Like a personal anecdote? ;)

It could be photoshop...but it really could be very real too...like others have said..witnessing family members suffering from the same illness they ended up looking like this...

and..if someone seriously photoshopped this.. how sick would that person have to be... and how sick would the people advertising it on their website have to be? if they were caught out they would surely get a huge backlash.

So this is looking like it is real, if the human race hasnt got as sick as I think it has...and this hasnt been faked.

I wish him all the best in battling the illness and to his family and close friends too. Forget about the apple products for one minute and what you see here is an ordinary human being with what is our worst and most lost battle we have been fighting for a long time....

I hope one day... we can defeat it

Why so defensive over a gossip site like TMZ?
I am sure there are a few intelligent people that read it.

However IMO if you polled all Doctors and Lawyers ... more would say they don't even know what TMZ is than actually read it.

It is a website that lacks intelligence ... just like Perez Hilton.

And I would bet they employ their own in-house photoshop department.

That picture is obviously photoshopped. Look at the bottom of the "dress." Zoom in all you want... It's most definitely fake.

Just want to add that although I don't want to believe it, it's all too believable. The Steve in that photo looks pretty well exactly like what you'd expect him to look like with aggressive advanced-stage cancer.

I hope - I really hope - that it's just a medically-accurate fake and that Steve's not really that far gone now, but in the light of his resignation I'm not optimistic.

Photos of a very skinny Steve Jobs isn't new. He is certainly very skinny today. I just don't know if he's THAT skinny.

It wouldn't surprise me, though. I don't know why this photo surprises so many people.
