Save wear and tear on your Plugs and Cords.
This does the same thing.
When you get the message telling you it couldn't access the iTunes Store for your request, do this:
1. Click on one of the other links above in the Menu like Music, or Applications, or Radio
2. Then Click on the iPhone link again.

If you Click on Check For Purchases, you'll find that it accesses the Store just fine.

This seems to be an Activation Server issue.

Yeah, I just noticed that too

I have another question.
Are people that did the Update through iTunes, for the 1st time, having this problem?

Or, are people that did the 1,2 upgrade with the download link yesterday, and who are doing it again with 1,1 today, having this problem?

I did it yesterday and it re-Activated fine. Today, with the 1,1, I'm having the re-Activation problem.

You gotta laugh :D obviously itunes uses same single server as O2's online shop. Not good when you rely on your phone for business.

Downloaded the 2.0 upgrade around 730AM PST. The upgrade went fine until it had to access the iTunes store. I'm in "emergency mode" until then as well. Tried unplugging etc. No dice. Still get the error.

I too am in the same boat as most others here. Have gotten both error code messages. So I now once again have a brick sitting at my desk!

Not fun!

I sure hope things smooth out by this afternoon EDT...

Just got back from ATT and when trying to sync I am getting an error message telling me to go to control panel and make sure SLS 3.0 or TLL 1.0 something or another is enabled??

Any suggestions?

Same here, but I managed to go into IE/FireFox and enable them. Now its telling me that my internet conncetion was reset? Any help?

Mine were enabled, now I'm getting the network time out issue trying to access iTunes store site...shame. I thought I would wait a few hours, from 8am when this first came out and get through the early crunch. Seems all of you have been trying for hours

total BS that Apple didn't think this might be an issue in advance. I am stuck with the Emergency screen & the BS about the TL 3.0 whatever. Do we just sit and wait and Itunes will eventually just fix the problem ?

Apple has dropped the ball BIG TIME! On on my second call to Apple Support. Like the first call, I was on hold for about 45 minutes then I got an AT&T rep who apologized and said, with the new iPhone release, IPhone tech calls were being misrouted (I think the routing was intentional). So, now, I've been put back in the hold queue for an Apple Rep . . . . . another hour or more I suppose.

I was stuck at accessing iTunes for 2 hours then after that long wait . . . nothing. Not even a progress bar indicating it's, trying, to access iTunes.

Agreed. They really should have thought about this, what with the crashes and all.

I agree . . . this definitely puts a damper on Apple's 3G release hoopla.
I plan on calling AT&T, once this issue is resolved (as a back up I made an appointment with the Apple Store for iPhone service tomorrow) to get a credit for the time I was not able to use my cell phone.

I'm receiving the error too..

Funny, it was running 2.0 perfectly fine with that leaked release all day yesterday!

Speaking of which, how many people here installed the leaked release?
