How does shipping work? I chose the free pre-order “standard shipping,” which is supposed to be 5-7 days. Should I expect it to arrive on launch day, or 5-7 days after?

I ordered through Twitter T-Force who said it would be an extra $25 for 3-day expedited shipping.

rep otp waived the fee for me, i didn’t ask at all about shipping

Every other upgrade year I was an AT&T customer. This is the first year that I'm T-Mobile. In the past AT&T charged $30 "upgrade fee". Does T-Mobile do this too? I've seen folks' order screenshots and some have AT&T and it shows that charge, but my order invoice does not show that fee. Thanks.
Generally if you upgrade through website there is no upgrade fee. However, if you have to get assistance (phone, messenger, etc) they want to tackle that on. They'll waive if you place order when website is having problems.

they gave you 2 day shipping, but I would not worry about it. I just placed a iPhone 12 and got it on launch day with the free 2 day shipping.

Started trying to order around 7 am central time kept getting the oops page didn’t load try again message.. finally around 9 it went through. I got iPhone 12 pro max 128gb blue, ships by 11/13. It looks like shipping dates haven’t slipped yet so a lot of people not getting through or demand not as large for max this year. What sucks is I hate that they changed the preorder times this year,it’s always been for as long as I can remember 12 am pacific time, now this year they have to change to 5am pacific which is 7am for me. Right when I’m trying to get ready and get out the door. Well at least I got my order in.

Sorry, failed to mention. Ordered through Apple Store app and we’re on iPhone Upgrade program. So judging by your response, we’ll be safe from the additional $40-60 in fees. Thanks!

I'd like to know this too.
I ordered directly from T-Mobile, and the rep informed me that my current SIM card would need to be updated to access the 5G network.

Well, I’d LIKE to say that I’m pleased with how T-mobile handled online ordering this morning. I’d LIKE to say that, but I don’t LIKE to LIE.

That being said, I did get my order in slightly less than two hours after ordering was supposed to begin. The ship date does say the thirteenth for my 12 pro max 256gb. I really hope that they get that part right.

Well, patience is a virtue I suppose. Looking forward to the new hardware.

So, your new iPhone will come with the required SIM card in it (as long as its a T-mobile iPhone). Just go on website after receiving and change sim.

Do they have this requirement of the phone needing to have been used in that Aug-Oct 2020 period?? I have an old iPhone 6 on the account but haven’t used it much and don’t know if there’s any data or minute usage during that time
Are you trading in your 6 for a 12 ?

I was thinking of using the 6 as a trade in for maybe the mini since its the cheapest new phone...since this looks like the most credit you can get anywhere for such an old phone...but I’d only wanna do it if i can get the loyalty $200 as well (i qualifly for the 5yr T-Mobile customer requirement)...

If you trade in at Apple.com, using your 6 for trade in, it's worth $30.
You might get more $ if you sell it privately.

The $200 TMO loyalty applies if you have perfect payment history with TMO for 5 years.

I just used the promotion link:

And use the promo code:

Any Costco deal with TM?
I need to upgrade two iPhone 7 with existing lines.
Costco did $100 off 12 / 12 Pro last week - but they don't offer a good trade in price so it's better to sell the old phones privately.

You should check with Costco to see if they would give the same discount on the 12 mini and pro max.

If you use your Costco Citi VISA card, you will get an extended warranty + 2% cash back rewards...

512 PB Max order here. I kept getting the oops message with my trade-in even 10 minutes before official pre-ordering was to begin. But I was able to get my order through via Apple first, so they won this year. I opted for in-store pickup. My previous order was for a Pro, same configuration, but it kept getting pushed back. So I decided to go with the Max and I will hopefully get it on the 13th. :)

Anyone know if it normal to see a trade-in listed as "Accepted Value: $0.00" under the T-Mobile trade-in / order status page? It says the phone was received and assessed 11/5, but does the accepted value of 0 mean they aren't giving me anything for it or is it a function of the way the payments are split up over 30 months?

Right...I’m wanting to do at T-Mobile...my only question is if this “must have been used from August to October” restriction Applies to the trade in of the iPhone 6....I have had the phone on the T-Mobile account for a long time...but not sure i used it much in those specific months as it’s just an extra for guests

If your trade in phone was locked (cloud / app store) or had a VPN restriction such as an MDM ?
Maybe the condition was found to be less than what you promised to send in?

Call TMO and ask....

Trying to get T-Mobile today isn't exactly a quick feat...
poking around others have said this is "normal"... none of those conditions you mentioned apply. Find my iPhone was disabled, the phone was wiped, and it was in pristine condition. Either this is "normal" or something happened to the phone since I shipped it.

UPDATE: The T-Mobile rep was able to confirm that the trade-in went though normally and will be credited as monthly billing credits. The "Accepted value: $0.00" is normal because the trade-in is for a monthly credit promo and not a direct cash-in.
