Hello all! So I have been watching MacRumors forums for many years, but admittedly never made an account or posted. Since the iPhone 3G days. I have owned almost every iPhone every year on launch day since then.
Anyways, I have a question, see if anyone had any insight,

I ordered my iPhone 12 Pro Max 256GB on launch day, got order confirmation etc.
The question is; I am switching to T-Mobile from Verizon due to the "up to $950" offer.
Now I understand it is depending on which phone you trade in.
I am trading my unlocked Verizon 11 Pro Max 256GB which SHOULD be eligible for that $950 over 30 months.

Then WHY IN THE WORLD would T-Mobile send me the attached email? Saying that they are giving me $521
I am confused.
Also, what would you do!? Should be $950 right? Unless that is a placeholder/before assessment?

I am thinking, after I get the 12 Pro Max in hand I will call T-Mobile and sort this out before actually sending them my 11 Pro Max.

Any thoughts? Did anyone else do this? Or get a similar email with erroneous amount?
You should be okay. It’s just a auto generated email based on what the value would be without the promo. I traded in my XR while upgrading to a 12 Pro and looking at the order in my account it shows the value as $211 but when my most recent bill after the upgrade generated, it showed the correct monthly credit to match the $415 value that T-Mobile is offering for existing customers.

I got bumped up to 11/10-11/12 yesterday and charged overnight. My order on the website says “running”. Any idea what that means?
It means “it’s happening”. I notice a charge for my Pro last night and checked my T-Mobile status and was at “Running” as well. Just checked my UPS app and now I have 2 items scheduled for Friday. The wife got the max and I got the Pro.

No movement yet on my iPhone 12 Mini pre-order. Hoping that once it's actually on its way I can have it re-routed to a UPS location without the fee.

I'm having the Max sent to my work, but I didn't get around to adding my work address into UPS MyChoice until presumably after the label was created. UPS rep said it should still pop up, but it hasn't. Anyone else dealt with anything similar?

Also FYI, all colors of the 256GB Pro Max have estimated dates of 11/13 on the TMo store right now. Must've restocked big time!
If it says ships by 11/13 does that really mean we won’t get it until next week??...or will it arrive ON the 13th?

We just moved to T-Mobile from Sprint so we’ve been curious how launch-day works.

Originally ordered the Pro but the dates they gave were 12-04 to 12-28. The PM were 11-25 to 12-01, so we canceled the pro and went with the Pro Max on Friday evening. 256GB in Pacific Blue. Figured even if I had to wait til December 1st, it’s still better than waiting til maybe Christmas.

The preview details on the T-Mobile app still says 11-25 to 12-01 but when I tap and view the order it now says Ships By: 11/11.

That’s good, right? I’m kind of excited this time around. I’m usually a late (three months or more after release) adopter but the design this time around has been what I’ve been waiting for since my 4S died and I ended up getting a 6.

You can do these things to be worry free.
-Check your bank see if its been charged
-UPS app for tracking#
-Tmo app >EIP should have the new iphone listed
-Text tmo rep for confirmation

If no to all, then it is not coming early. Sorry.

It's a good sign however a better sign will be once you have a UPS tracking number with an origin scan. That means UPS has the package and it is moving in their system.

Mine says ships by 11/11 now as well

Mine also now says it ships 11/11/2020. I keep refreshing it and UPS MyChoice waiting to see if I've got a shipping number, but so far no luck.

i wouldn’t be surprised if we get the shipped email around 7-10pm cst tonight.
it’s coming already!

Looks like I’ve got both a tracking number and scheduled delivery time on UPS’ site. Friday the 13th by 9:00pm. Says “shipment ready for UPS”.

Feeling a bit optimistic. Can’t find anything in the T-Mobile app though, could be I’m looking in the wrong place. I’m heartened by the tracking number and delivery date though.

I actually have no idea, I just assumed I would have to do so. I work the usual 9 to 5 so I'll likely not be home when it arrives.
What I've heard, anecdotally, is that most drivers are just signing for the customer since their software still requires it, but they're social distancing.
