I was up and on the site as soon as the preorders went live (it was about 15 minutes before the time they said they would). None of the 512 or 1 TB showed a 9/24 date from the beginning. Thought that was interesting that only the 128 and 256 had 9/24 shipping dates. At least for the pro max phones, those were the only ones I was looking at.

That must mean that Apple told the assembly plant "only mass produce 128gb and 256gb for the first few weeks of production, then switch to 512gb, and 1 TB, since those will likely be less than 10% of orders."

Really glad I got 256gb instead of 512gb if thats the case.

That is actually a terrible strategy for Apple to take. The people who order the higher storage storage amount are commonly some of their biggest fans. So they are really screwing over their biggest fans by making them wait longer.

Not to say anyone who order 128gb is not a huge Apple enthusiast. Just that over 90% of people who order 128gb after launch day are just casual average consumers. Not tech enthusiasts.

That was on T-Mobile’s site for ordering. I’ve seen people on the thread for Apple store orders get launch day delivery and pickup for 512 and 1 TB models, so I think it was T-Mobile for some reason that only ordered the smaller sizes for earliest delivery.

Anyone else have 9/28-10/05 shipping date? I preordered in store at 8am and they said would I be getting it release day. No charge on my card yet or even showing up at all, so that’s got me a bit worried it’s gonna be delayed. 13 pro max graphite 256gb

I have the same shipping dates and placed my order over the phone the same time you did. Was told the 24-27 was my shipping date when I ordered with CS. The mobile app shows 9/27 - 10/04 on the front page, everywhere else shows 9/28 - 10/05. Still holding out hope that I get it on release day, but who knows...

I canceled my preorder and went with apple this year, seems like T-Mobile so far, is doing a very good job. Maybe even better then apple.

Just got a charge on an iPhone 13 Pro 128gb Graphite estimated shipping is 9/24-10/4 also got a charge yesterday for iPhone 13 mini 128 Midnight with estimated shipping date 9/23-9/23

Since some people probably don't know about this, there is a website to track planes that might have your iPhone on it. Good way to kill some time. Departure times should match up with a plane at some point within a few minutes at least. Kinda cool to see how often planes come and go full of phones.

What time did you order? I signed my EIP agreement at 8:02am EST and ordered the iPhone 13 Mini 128gb Midnight like you. Was told a 9/24 -9/27 ship date, but minutes later received a text with 9/28 - 10/05 ship dates.

interesting... So, you ordered hours after me and got an earlier shipping date. Hopefully, my tracking number shows up soon and I get it by the 24th. Thanks for replying...

This is the fastest I’ve ever gotten charged and had a tracking number. Fingers crossed they mess up and deliver early! Though I know that will never happen. Last time it did, Apple chewed them out big time.

No, but if you have a tracking number and can see it, you’ll see a time stamp of when it leaves China or Louisville and that corresponds with the times on the flights.

On the T-Mobile app? Thats what mine says too but i don't have a charge or tracking.

Did yours have a different status before being processed? What status was that?

Yes they are offering really good trade in value if you upgrade to magenta max or i think also if youre already on that plan.

The trade in values if you're not on that plan aren't very good for some phones.

I am leaving to go out of town for the weekend Friday morning. In all my years of pre-ordering I’ve never used the UPS hub location for pickup. Has anyone ever done that and when did they do it? I don’t want to mess up my phone being on time. Am hoping to pick it up on my way to my trip instead of wait till after to get it. That’s assuming it is ready on launch day.

I’ve done this the last few years. If you actually select a ups access point/hub it will be available when they open same day as delivery date. Due to COVID mine has closed so you are no longer able to do that but that’s at my local one. Could be different. Another thing you can do is since it ships with next day air, wait until it’s out for the delivery and it will give you an option to “follow my delivery”. It will show you a gps of where the UPS truck is. Go to where the truck is at and just tell him you are going to be gone and if you could get it now. I’ve done before in cases when I needed something asap and I wasn’t going to be home and they are super cool about it.
