My ship date with tmobile is 9/21-9/22 no movement I also pre ordered a Apple Watch through tmobile too. No changes from tmobile yet my watch says 9/21-9/22 too. Apple on the other hand just charged me for my watch though. They said that is a good sign. I to anxious lol.

I apologize if this has been asked before. I was thinking of switching from JOD to EIP with T-Mobile and getting the X when it’s available. I currently have a 32GB iPhone 7 on JOD. There are 6 lease payments remaining of $27 each. The purchase option is $163.99. I inquired with T-Mobile via Twitter DM about how to switch from JOD to EIP, and I’m almost certain the rep was giving me the wrong info. He said all I had to do was pay the purchase option of $163.99 and trade the phone in and I could get the $300 credit for the X. I was insisting that I would have to pay the remaining lease payments PLUS the purchase option before I could trade it in to be eligible for the $300. He was adamant about it. My belief is this— I would just have to pay off the remaining lease payments and then turn the phone in. At that point I could do the EIP for the X — but wouldn’t be eligible for the $300. That’s fine because I upgrade every year, and I’d only get half of the bill credits from that offer anyway. Wouldn’t make any sense to pay an extra $164 just to realize $150 in bill credits.

It also irks me that they have been silent on JOD details for the X. They just keep saying “stay tuned”

Anyone know if you can just walk into the store to do the $300 iPhone trade in deal if you're not the primary owner on the account? On a family plan but I live across the country from primary owner.

Exactly, they might be people deciding on. JOD iPhone 8; 8+ or x

because of the T-Mobile bogo deal on Note 8, they are flooding the Craigslist now in my area, as low as $700 brand new sealed. Is the X really $300 better than the Note 8?

We just switched to T-Mobile last week, and I ordered my 8 on Friday on T-Mobile and had to put a down payment down and the rest is in installment plans. This is my first phone purchased with T-Mobile and my first phone bought on installment plans.

My question is, what am I considered to be on? The EIP? I was never given any option to join Jump or Jump On Demand or anything like that. Is it too late for me to do so now? I was hoping to keep the option open to Upgrade next year if I like the phones they offer. I hope that will be an option for me....

I've been looking at a thread for preorders made through Apple and several people have already gotten a tracking number. They used UPS and typed in the phone number as a reference number and they have been able to see that a label was created and there is a tracking number

Apple orders always get their tracking numbers first. It was the same way when the 2nd generation Apple Watch came out.

All I was trying to say was that since we all ordered at the same time , no matter who we ordered through. We should all pretty much be on the same page. We just don't get as many updates. :)

So will I be able to possibly get a new phone next year?

You can do the reference trick with Tmobile orders too. The catch is that you have to wait until they hit Louisville before they’ll show in the system. I’d expect it to work on Wed and most definitely Thursday.

As long as you've paid off 50% of your phone they'll let you trade it in for next year's model. This is a one time offer that T-Mobile announced.

I’m on JOD and you can upgrade your phone every 30 days. I just got the 8 plus, upgrading my December or January.

Sprint is the worst network ever. Don’t switch to them you’ll regret it.

I am currently on Sprint and moving to t-mobile. Sprint coverage is very spotty at best. Lots of gaps around my area, and when traveling forget it, always have slow/no connection. As much as it would be nice to stay and get a much cheaper monthly bill, not really worth it due to service issues. I am ready for a change.

I asked this in another thread, but does anyone know if the 8 plus supports HDR video playback.

It is the same phone slightly updated. Not many people are interested especially those with never devices already. The trade in offer is also underwhelming.

If it was the same offer from last year I would have jumped on it in a heart beat.
