the promo deal was very underwhelming especially considering how capable my 6s+ still is. i meam in some ways its still BETTER than the 8. but if they come out with a more attractive black friday promo or a different promo for the X i might bite.

Thinking of instead of the trade in at T-Mobile for 300$ should I do 375$ instead for Apple Store trade in for my iPhone 7. That way Apple care would pay for it self and I could get a case too for my iPhone plus. What you guys think?

Does T-Mobile typically have a decent amount of stock of new phones on launch day in their stores? I'd prefer to walk in and get one that way.

Last year every single T-Mobile store around me had NONE, and they had no phones for weeks. (I'm in South Jersey by Philadelphia, a major market)

I am waiting for X but I can see the option for T-Mobile customer to buy with IUP whereas before it was only full price up front. See for yourself on the website.

It says right on their website that it doesn't work online for T-Mobile customers and that they do only in store activations.

"Program available for iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X. Available to qualified customers with a credit check and eligible U.S. credit card. Requires a 24-month installment loan with a 0% APR from Citizens Bank, N.A. (subject to any interest, fees, or other costs payable to the issuer of the credit card), purchase of AppleCare+, and iPhone activation with one of these national carriers: AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon. Activation on T-Mobile available in the Apple Store. Sales tax and any applicable fees due at time of purchase. Full terms apply."

When I clicked on that link to enroll in Apple IUP's program as a T-Mobile user, this is the message that I got:

"To join the iPhone Upgrade Program with T-Mobile, you’ll need to visit an Apple Store and check in with a Specialist once iPhone 8 or iPhone X become available."

I believe for returning T-Mobile Apple IUP users they can process online. For first timers they need to go to store

For those that preordered (or are planning to preorder the X), what cases are you looking to buy for it?

Trade it in at Apple IMO

I might do it and get the 8 plus

I also have AppleCare+ remaining on my 7 so I get some extra cash

I feel the same. I am going to wait until there is a better promotion. I have no issues with my 6s plus to justify spending so much money.

For someone who has an iPhone 6/16GB, would you do the $300 credit trade (far more than what you'll get selling) or wait until Black Friday for a better deal? (Maybe free memory upgrade)

This is the first time in a long time that I'm not rabidly refreshing T-Mobile's site for updated order info lol.

I have zero doubt that 8/8+ orders will go smoothly, as demand seems to be down a good bit. Can't see anyone who ordered that first day or so having a delayed shipment.
