Sprint is the worst network ever. Don’t switch to them you’ll regret it.
I know that

If I were to leave T-Mobile it would be for Verizon and nothing Else

Was just saying T-Mobile letting people beat them to the punch which is surprising

I asked this in another thread, but does anyone know if the 8 plus supports HDR video playback.
No offense but HDR10 and Dolby Vision are clearly listed on the specs page for the 8 plus.

Non taken. Thanks. Was just a tad bit confused cause I glanced at a couple of sites that only mentioned the X. Plus Apple's site has the X with HDR with Dolby Vision and HDR10 content. Whereas the 8 just supports Dolby Vision and HDR10 content. Is HDR10 different? Guess the 8 plus doesn't have HDR with Dolby Vision.

My iphone 8 plus space grey with Tmobile has no updates just says preorder and no charge on my card yet my silver and fog band apple watch is the same.

My stainless steel apple watch from apple just says processing but my card has a charge. I’m doing instore pickup on this one ao not sure how it updates vs shipping.

HDR10 is the free licensing standard of HDR (AKA it costs companies no money to implement it.) Dolby Vision is a fee based standard (companies like Apple, Samsung, Denon, etc pay Dolby for the rights to implement their standard). Dolby Vision is built upon HDR10.

Basically it's a battle between HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Like any format war (Bluray vs HD-DVD), it's confusing to the end consumer.

There's no real known differences/benefits to Dolby Vision other than their cool little logo at this time.

What does that mean for the iPhone? Both iPhones (X and 8 Plus) support HDR10 and Dolby Vision. The X will do a better job at supporting HDR content because it uses an OLED display, which means each pixel can have it's brightness controlled. HDR only matters though if you're watching HDR content. Pretty much the only HDR content at this time will be the movies you'll find for sale in the iTunes store. Regular content such as apps, the home screen, and regular videos won't be able to leverage HDR10 and Dolby Vision.

Basically, I wouldn't worry about HDR right now on the iPhone. It's going to take a few generations before we really start to see the benefit of it on a large scale.

I did instore pickup I wonder if I will get a notification on Thursday or Friday. Because my pickup time is the minute they open. I just though about something too if there is a massive line I will not be happy as I preordered and would hate to have to go extra early to beat a line or wait in a long line when I already paid ect.

My three iPhone 8+ orders still say Pre-Order: Processing. Estimated to ship 09/21/2017 - 09/22/2017.

I sure hope it doesn't ship on 9/22. That would mean a Monday delivery. I don't know if I can stand to wait over the weekend. o_O:(

I’ve received this text 2x. I called this first time, and no problem was found. Anyone else receive this text?

FREE T-MO MSG: Oh no! We have encountered an issue with your recent Apple order. Please call us at 1-844-275-9297 so that we can complete your order with no delivery delay. If no action is taken, your order will be cancelled.

I got that text too. Turns out that the order I placed online via T-Mobile didn't go through. The guy made a new order and merged it with my original so that way I still get it release day. Then I finally got a confirmation email too(I never got one the first time)

Just also note, they will charge you a phone fee of $20. I just used the app and texted them saying you told me to call, and they refunded it. Stupid.

Yeah, I notice that after I placed my multiple orders on the phone. Pretty weak imo. I'm not going to call and complain before the orders ship though. . Maybe afterwards.

I would keep calling normally that’s a payment issue. I have had reps enter the wrong card info ect or name. For example my name on one of my orders is mispelled and nor where near my name.Keep calling for different reps some know what they are talking about and some are clueless. I have been with Tmobile 5 years and through several Apple launches.

Netflix was a scam. My wife and I pay $100 on the ONE plan. They made it seem like we'd be included in the offer in the initial announcement.

Then last week, when the offer launched, they suddenly decided we needed to upgrade to the $120 a month ONE plan. Why pay $20 more a month for a $10 service?

It took my rep like 10 times to place my order when I called but they made sure it was done correct by waiting until EIP was signed and that they could see it signed in their system also.

I have a grandfathered plan thats $100 and essentially the same as Tmobile one and I don’t qualify for it. Actually when they tried to switch me I also way told my bill will go up stupid. I know they are aiming for new customers but being 5 years in with Tmobile I should rate it too. I also heard they just give you a bill credit not a actual account that is paid for. I am not sure how true that is though.

It's interesting. I switched over in March 2017 and signed up for the t mobile one plan. 5 lines 140 bucks with the hook up and auto pay discounts. And 2 of the lines get the plus version for free(not sure how that happened). Anyways this qualifies for Netflix so I didn't have to change anything. So I'm confused when the nomenclature changed and people are having to sign up for a different t mobile one plan.

But I agree with you. Your case sucks and don't upgrade.
