I knew it, I'm not having second thought on the JOD, I can still cancel it prior shipping date. How's tmobiles JOD compare with apples IUP? Apple's include AppleCare for $40 a month on the same phone I ordered through JOD. T-Mobile JOD charges $48/month including tax and insurance. I don't think I need to upgrade more than once a year anyway, plus if I get it through Apple then the phone would be unlocked. Has anyone crossshopped T-Mobile JOD vs IUP and ended up with JOD? Can u give me some reasons other than the ability to upgrade more frequently than apples plan?

Where are you getting the $48/mo from? My understanding is that there are two programs, Jump, and EIP. EIP automatically enroll us into "T-mobile's iUP" where we can upgrade to next year's iPhone for free if you pay half of your phone, while Jump includes all other non-iPhone phones + additional services like loss and theft prevention.

Jump on Demand for iPhone 8+ 64G is 0 down $33 plus tax plus protection plan. Comes out to $48 a month.

...edited... I signed my EID online and I have only gotten an email confirming that. No order confirmations yet. Ordered almost 9 hours ago.

Same here, and there was even an order number in the EID confirmation. Called yesterday, talked to 2 reps who "didn't have access to the order system used by the app", was about to get bounced to a 3rd, but I had no time, so just decided to wait and chill for 24hrs to see if anything changes. Called again today, got bounced to 3 reps, because each again "didn't have access...". The 3rd finally seemed to be able to check multiple systems, and conclusively pronounced that the order didn't exist!

Tmobile's back end systems are a real joke, they can't seem to keep up with marketing and legere's uncarrier moves...

So much for saving time by ordering through the app.

Why I called and did it over the phone. T-Mobile is the worst for reserving phones

300 for iPhone 6 and above credited over 24 months

Someone above thread mentioned that they were quoted a much lower price for their phone. I assumed that anything above a 6 got the full $300? So whether or not you traded in a 6 or a 7+ the trade in value was the same?

Yes, irrespective of the phone and memory, you get a $12.50 credit every month for the next 24 months. ($300) as long as the phone is free of water damage and not cracked.

Fwiw, my brother has a 16GB iPhone 6 and got $300.

That said, I'm getting conflicting answers on what happens to the credit if you pay off the EIP. The store CSR said credits still continue as long as you have service but when I called in the CSR told me once EIP is paid off you no longer get any credits, in turn forcing people to pay off the phone over 24 months. Really doesn't make sense.

Question, so I currently owe $360 on My Iphone 7+ 128 GB matte black so if I trade it in do I get the extra $300 on the next phone or does that supposedly go towards the $360 I already owe?

I’m pretty sure the $360 gets wiped and the $300 goes towards your monthly bill credits.

I don't think u can have both. It's either or thing. Back when my parents got their iPhone 7s, they had he choice to trade in an iPhone 5 for $300 or wipe the remaining AT&T EIP balance, they chose the later since they owed more than $300 on the phone.

That wouldn't be too bad. I'm currently on Jump 2 and want to get back on Jump on Demand(JOD). I was on JOD but last year and I was having problems preoordering and had to switch it. I currently owe $360 so if I get $300 credit I can trade my phone in and pay off the $60 balance and get back on JOD and avoid the down payment that you get on Jump 2.

I canceled my iPhone 8+ JOD earlier this morning and got the EIP with Jump 2 on the same phone with $300 tradebin credit on my iPhone 6S. Too bad the credits are spreading out over the entire 24 month, so it basically covers the additional cost for the Jump 2. I will keep my Jump 2 status until after the X comes out and see how people's reactions, if reviews are good then I will pay up half of the installment and trade the 8+ in for the X. If reviews are not good, then I will cancel the Jump 2 and finish off my 24 month installment plan while maximizing the full $300 trade in credit. Okay I'm done with this, now it's time to enjoy the weekend.

People who ordered through Apple are lucky because the T-Mobile website just keeps saying its processing. Does anyone know if there is a way to get a closer look at when it is preparing to ship if you ordered it through T-Mobile?

It won't say it until it ships probably, preparing for shipments usually means few hours before they actually ship it
