So, I plan on buying the X out right and its a little discouraging to see ppl on other carriers planning to pre order the T-Mobile variant because it will be "easier"

Is anyone here planning to pre-order a full price unlocked iPhone X, "returning" it at a store and "re-buying" it under the IUP? This was a pretty successful workaround last year with T-Mobile requiring customers to go to an Apple store to enroll in the program.

Can someone who did this last year speak to it? That sounds like a brilliant idea if it would work. However, the stakes are high since you'd get stuck with the full price of the phone if they won't do it. I talked to a chat rep and they said it is not possible but I'm always skeptical to trust support reps.

T-mobile Twitter help today saying it may be Friday before JOD pricing released. They really don't know what they are doing here. If there is going to be a downpayment on JOD, fine, just let us know. What is the hold up?
I know right, if it's too much people can get sleep

I just got off the phone with tmobile too, and they said they currently dont have any information about the JOD! Which is simply nonsense given that the preorder starts this friday. However, she said that they did it for the iphone 8, so she doesn't see why they wouldn't be able to use JOD.

But with JOD do you have to still put down a payment, i mean I know you dont know about the iphone x but previously iphone orders did you have to?

I ordered an 8 Plus the other day (finally decided against the X). It was supposed to be delivered Oct. 24th, but now I see that UPS has delayed my shipment until Nov. 3rd. Hmm, I wonder if they think it's an iPhone X..lol.

Is is sad that i have slight anxiety about Friday? lol. Normally, I am very fortunate to be able to get my iphone within a week or so after release date. However, something tells me this one is going to be very tricky.

I just chatted with them and they said the same thing, also that they don't even know if it will be offered on JOD.

WHAT?!?!? If that is the case, I'm done with TMobile. I've been told by several customer service reps that it WILL be offered on JOD. And with the horrible iPhone 7 launch problems for the JOD program, you'd think they would be doing everything they can to make this one a positive experience for customers.

I have a bad gut feeling about what it’ll end up being for JOD. My guess is that they believe if they wait until as close as possible to the Pre-order date, the hype will still create a lot of sales despite a dissatisfactory JOD deal. The earlier they announce a large upfront cost, the more time JOD customers have to digest/discuss the news and bow out. I could totally be wrong, but that’s just my guess.

Yeah they told me the same thing, they said that they aren't sure if it would be available.

[doublepost=1508790085][/doublepost]So i called tmobile like 5 times and apparently they all seem to be working together at my location. I had three ladies picked up from San Antonio(which is where I am from) and they were kind rude. One of the ladies was able to give me information about the down payment and when I called again a different lady picked up telling me that she doesnt have any information about the down payment or anything. Which is stupid because she said "I realized you just called one of my coworkers and she's actually one next to me." What made me more upset was I told her "So you're telling me that you cant provide me a down payment price but your coworker next to you told me what it was." I thought that was crazy how this company don't know s***.
[doublepost=1508790913][/doublepost]Will tmobile have any in stock? I wonder...

I can’t believe that people are really willing to pay this phone outright. That’s what the want. Don’t pay outright and next release they will put it on JOD. iPhone 8 has already don’t horrible in sales and they got that message so they won’t do what they did now, again in the future. That phone is not close to being worth that much outright. And this is coming from an Apple junkie

Honestly me being the type to always get my phone on release day. I’m still going to pre order it but if they say that it won’t be available for JOD, I’m not even going to bother with getting it then until a month later when it will be. That’s nonsense to be paying that much for (let’s be real) a phone like that, especially if you have the 8 already (which I do). I never put a down payment and you’ll go ahead and pay that much and still not guaranteed a phone until months out. But that’s just my opinion.

How come with JOD I would always still have to put down a down payment? (I have great credit)

Hmm silver or black. Idk how I feel about the super reflective stainless steel of the silver, but it’s a beautiful phone.

Looks like TMo upgraded their online ordering system from last year; I think EIP (Jump!) customers now use the same portal for purchasing a phone that regular/new customers used last year rather than a totally separate web interface. Last year the JUMP! ordering page crashed whilst the new folks were just about able to get their orders in using the regular ordering interface. So I suppose this is good news for this year? Really hoping they upgraded their servers to handle a lot more traffic, last year was a disaster.

Quick question. I have JOD and was wondering. Are we actually able to pre order on the website or do we have to do it over the phone with sales. That would suck
