Okay guys, they just released the prices for the JOD and damn $429.99 down still for the 256gb but 24/months isn't that bad.
  • 64GB: $279.99 down, $30 per month (FRP: $999.99)
  • 256GB: $429.99 down, $30 per month (FRP: $1,149.99)
JUMP! On Demand

  • 64GB: $0 down, $41.56 per month (FRP: $999.99)
  • 256GB: $429.99 down, $24 per month (FRP: $1,149.99)
Apparently if you decided to just do an EIP then you have the tmobile iPhone upgrade program, meaning once the phone is paid off 50% you can pretty much "jump" just like the jump on the demand. Which is confusing to me.. what the difference then? Beside the prices of each month. mmm.

$430 is quiet the down payment for the 256 GB. I wonder if more of the 64 GB will sell as a result of its $0 down.

Either way, I’m definitely not expecting to have this device in-hand until the end of next month or beginning of December. A select few will get lucky and have it within the first week it’s available, but that’s not me. And I’m definitely not standing in line at a store because I highly doubt any stores will have stock.

I just figured out, jump on demand is just a 18 month lease and you can upgrade at least 3 times in a year. But why would i need that if iphone x will be the phone i would really want.

I really don’t get why it’s a $429 down payment. The 64gb is $999 with $0 down for $41 a month and the 256gb $1149 for $429 down for $24 a month. They say it’s because they phone is so expensive yet they are letting a $999 phone go for $0 down but the 256gb is only $150 more. It should only be like $250 down payment. I would take a $50 a month payment. But I think they have lost me as a customer. I’m most likely gonna switch to Apple’s upgrade program.

So, for the prepaid GSM guys, our only option is to choose the T-Mobile iPhone X at launch. It’s the only one that doesn’t require carrier information. I just tried it with the 8 and 8 plus and it allowed me to select one time payment and add to cart but the other 3 carriers required your account information. It sucks there won’t be a sim free option at launch. Oh well.

I'm going with 256 GB only because I have the 128 GB 7+ now and I wouldn't be able to downsize to a 64 GB. Nice move on Apple's part to get us to spend more by ridding of the middle tier GB, lol.

Yeah, I was just overlooking the numbers right now and saw that the 64 GB has NO down payment but the payment is almost twice as much per month in installment fee's than the 256 GB. Doesn't really make sense for the $150 price difference. I personally would rather just make the large down payment and keep my phone bill at the same rate.

Does anyone know if the price includes the taxes on the phone? The 256 GB is $429 down, but do I also have to pay the sales taxes on the MSRP $1,149?

Im actually on the phone with them now. They said they don’t have any pricing yet. I feel like the article that’s out isn’t official.

The reps are always so clueless, lol. Look at some posts in the page before this -- some were stating that they thought JOD wasn't going to be offered period!

The Verge, a reputable tech news site, is also reporting the same thing. Pretty sure they're getting their info directly from TMO.

Hey guys,
I have a question, I am currently in the states but I'm originally not from here.
I want to pre-order the iPhone X and the only option I can choose without giving account information is T-Mobile.
If I'll order the T-Mobile unlcoked iPhone (one time payment), it'll work for me overseas in my homeland also? or it'll be locked for only T-Mobile sim cards?
I read something that it'll work on GSM network all over the world, but I have no idea if my cellular network back home is running on GSM or CDMA, how can I check this up?
Thanks!

Don't quote me, but from my knowlegde if you get an unlocked phone from the apple store, for example the tmobile one, it is already unlocked, so you literally could use it anywhere.

It’s going to be basically impossible for us T-Mobile people to order an iphone since everyone seems to be order them to use on other carriers.

How come with JOD I would always still have to put down a down payment? (I have great credit)
[doublepost=1508792823][/doublepost]
&& i remember you from last year for the iphone 7, to be it went smoothly, now i feel like its going to be tough
Idk that’s something I would bring up to them. Base model should be zero down regardless of credit on JOD

i think its gonna be $429 plus tax... but i agree with you was thinking of getting one line at $0 down but either way they are gonna get there price for it either way so keeping my bill roughly at the same as what i pay now would be a better option.

These numbers are confusing me. So for EIP on a 256GB on T-Mobiles iPhone Upgrade program we’re looking at:

T-Mobile: $790 after 12 months
-$430 Down + $360 ($30x12 if the above posts are right)

Apple’s IUP: $673.92 after 12 months.
-$56.16x12

Am I missing something? Apple’s plan seems like the better deal.

Negative... JOD is not automatically $0 down for everyone; for most, that is an option. If someone has to put a down payment, their credit is the determining factor.

It's a lease. Just like any other lease.

You don't pay taxes up front on JOD... those are rolled into your monthly payout. EIP pays taxes up front.

You’re math is correct. And your conclusion that Apple IUP is a better deal is also correct.

If you factor in T-Mobile’s offer for trading in an eligible iPhone to get $300 credit (bill credit of $12.50/mo), then your total cost is $640 after 12 months:

I.e., $430 down + $360 (12 x $30/mo) minus $150 (bill credit $12.50/mo x 12)

You will forfeit the other $150 of bill credits if you upgrade to another phone after the 12 months.

So, bottom line is Apple IUP cost of $673.92 is still better than TMobile IUP cost of $640, because you get AppleCare+.

PDP now includes AppleCare, btw. (since April or May, if I recall)

Any info coming in on what stock is looking like on launch day, sir TMO Manager?

Also, if we’re ordering by phone.. is it still smart to request a call from a rep 5-10 minutes before 12:01a since the lines get jammed? If so, how do we go about requesting a call?

PDP costs $15 per mo. AppleCare is included with PDP.
I know... it's an option is what I'm saying, compared to the prior Assurant system we had previously.

It literally took us until today to find out about JOD pricing... you think we know about incoming stock? Joking... but no. No idea. I'm at a large store (for the area) and I'm not expecting anything the day of... and if we do get anything, it'll be one or two.

I don't handle Care or Call Center stuff... I DO know that there has been mention of not allowing customers to call in, try to keep reps on the phone, then transition over to a preorder. Be prepared for a "line clearing" and fresh start at 1201PST.
