I’ve also gotten the text for both orders but I’m betting that it is because they do not have any stock on hand until Wednesday-Thursday. Same as every year.

Pre Ordered the Iphone X 64GB Silver. I am on the older JoD plan where we are allowed three upgrades a year. I had used one for the Iphone 8Plus last month, now used it to upgrade to the Iphone X.
Shipping estimate : 11/02 to 11/03 overnight. I went to the store early morning at 8 am EST as I cannot upgrade online.
$0 down.

Did any of you take the 300.00 trade in? I took the offer, but might sell it on Craigslist instead. The rep did tell me it wouldn’t change anything if I didn’t send it in to them. Certainly I can get more than that for an unlocked 7+
[doublepost=1509125941][/doublepost]

I honestly didn’t stay up until midnight to pre-order, it just worked out that way. After an hour of their site not working I called and somehow managed to get into the first grouping of shipments. My business partner called this morning and has the same shipping range that you do.
yeah bro do it if you can. i have a 6 so for me this offer is worth it

So, i placed 2 orders with tmobile this morning, the first, got an email saying the shipping date would be release day, the second, has the shipping date in the order status saying 11/3/-11/10, but the first order has not estimated shipping.

I just got off the phone with T-Mobile and they are saying there was a system error and that the phone will be delivered in December (2nd order) and that she couldn't find any info on my first order. SMH

for a 7+ you should sell on craigslist. i traded in a 6+, which probably wouldn't fetch $300 on craigslist...so the trade in deal was good for me.

i'm still dubious about their shipping estimates. i managed to get my order in via the website at 3:20 EST...have an 11/03 delivery date, but i'll believe it when i get the UPS alert.

FYI if you ordered over phone because the website was not listing the X last night or the many other issues we ran into please ask tforce on twitter to credit that $20 upgrade fee since that is not supposed to be charged on online orders (which was our intent)

I'm so confused on the trade in situation. I was under the impression that I first preorder, then I trade in the phone once I receive the new iphone x. However, I did not mention the trade in to the rep in a hurry to get it done and ge a 11/3 delivery date.

Is there anyway to process a trade in AFTER the phone arrives?

You’re right! I forgot to mention that earlier. When I called last night the rep immediately said he’d waive the fee. I didn’t have to even ask.
[doublepost=1509127082][/doublepost]
That, I’m not sure of. But I think you can make it happen. Get a hold of them on Twitter. They’re usually good about fixing things. Even if it isn’t their mistake.

I had my watch buzz me at 2:58am EDT. I got up, dialed 611, ordered a 64GB Silver and was back in bed at 3:05am. The guy I talked to zipped right through everything easily. I got $0 down and overnight shipping without even asking. I've been with T-Mobile for years and I have 5 lines. They must like me.

Ha and so the craziness about shipping begins again. I’ve learned from all previous pre-orders that there is no need to stress about the shipping dates until after Wednesday or Thursday when the phones start arriving in Louisville. After that you may commence with worrying lol

Did any of you have an issue with the trade in deal? I kept getting stuck into a loop where it would only show me the iphone 8. What I had to do is go back to the shop icon at the top and select all models and then I was able to add the iphone X to my cart. But then, they only offered me $110 for my iphone 6+ instead of the 300. I could not find any way to get out of that loop, so I went ahead and ordered. I am hoping they will honor the $300 deal for me since their web site was so jacked up. Took almost an hour to get my order in.

If you are thinking about the promotional trade in remember 2 things:

1) Obviously if you have the lowest end phone on that list, it's advantageous. If you have an iPhone 7 you will lose money.
2) The $300 credit is spread over 24 installments just like your EIP. If you pay off early, you lose any remaining credit.

On a funny note on #2 - Tmobile billing kept forgetting the credit for like 4 months straight on my last phone. I got so fed up I spoke to a supervisor and demanded I get the full credit in one payment and that I would pay off the EIP immediately as a fair compromise. They buckled and did just that and I got the full $300 in credit. 2 bills later guess what? My monthly credit randomly shows up. I did call them to let them know I already got the credit, but 1 year later I'm still getting the monthly credit so I am going to end up with a $600 trade in for my crappy iPhone SE.

Did anyone get a text from tmobile saying when to turn in your phone by? I did jump on demand. It says i need to turn my phone by november 26. So i better be getting my new iphone before then lol.

I did and I believe everyone should have. If not try checking in your spam. That’s where mine were even though the other emails went into my inbox.

The rule for JoD+ with $0 down payment on a $900+ handset is: Tier A, B, W, or 4 Credit AND 3+ years of business loyalty. Per: https://www.tmonews.com/2017/10/t-mobile-jump-on-demand-down-payment-900-phones/

I ordered my 64GB X SG at 1249am PST with JoD+ but had to do a down payment. I'm still showing a 11/2-11/3 ship date but I have my doubts. I did need to speak with business care though (@Work customer), so I suppose there's a chance they source our phones from a different batch? I guess it's just time to sit back and wait at this point.

This was probably the most terrible pre-order experience I had in my life. I wanted the space gray / 256GB version. And wanted to pay full.
Apple:
x) Couldn't get in to the apple app / website until ~12:08. Finally ordered it through the app and got a delivery window 11/17-11/24. Obviously I was disappointed, given I did everything to order it as soon as possible.

T-Mobile:
x) At 12:15 I checked out the t-mobile site, went through the wizard and couldn't find the iphone x among the offered phones. Just the 8/8+/7/7+.
x) Went to twitter to see that hundreds of customers had the same experience. Contacted the twitter help line and started my wait to get support while refreshing the my t-mobile page.
x) After 30+ minute wait the rep told me to log out / log in and that solved the problem and now the iphone x showed up. BUT my payment didn't went through even after trying like 15 times. I got the notification of 15+ $1 charge, but their system thrown an error.
x) The shipping window slipped to 11/3-11/10 instead of the 11/2-11/3 I had seen first.
x) An other rep started to help me. Meanwhile one of my orders went through.
x) The rep said that she didn't see it in their system and placed an order for me with the same shipping window.
x) After like 15 minutes I saw both of the orders in my order history. Got two confirmation emails 30 minutes later. Also they charged me $20 extra for ordering through support. I find this really shady because their system didn't work. They credited me this after my request.
x) They removed my first order and I was almost ready to go to sleep when I saw an extra line opening charge on my credit card. $26
x) It turned out that they "accidentally" charged my credit card with a service that was requested by a different customer. I was like WTF?? They promised me to remove the charge.
x) Went to sleep
x) Waking up for a text from t-mobile that they have no shipping estimate for my order. Still shows 11/3-11/10 online.

================

My take:
x) Completely disappointed in T-Mobile, because it took 2+ hours to place 1 order through the failing website / customer service. It's 2017, I won't call and be on hold for hours. Fix that damn website.
x) They charged me $20 + $26 for nothing.
x) I'm 90% sure that when they changed the shipping times to 11/3-11/10 they ran out of stock and it's just a bait for new/existing customers to score as many pre-orders as possible.

This twitter thread with 200+ replies is a great example of the "great" T-Mobile experience me and others had:

Ah, don't you love "system errors." But odd because TMobs site is reporting orders placed now will ship by 11/17. Earlier today it was by 11/3. Then it slipped to 11/10. The waking up at 3am is the easy part. The tough part is waiting for the fog to clear before you can see when your phone is actually going to ship because if you ask 3 different reps you'll get 3 different answers. Even when I see my order with the iOS app one pages says 11/3 but if I click on that it says no delivery date.

BTW what time did you place your orders?

I wouldn't worry about it. You'll make more selling it yourself. swappa.com is the ticket.

Well I guess I'm in worse shape then the rest of you. I got my order in shortly before 1AM after trying for an ENTIRE HOUR!! And it shows "no shipping estimate available". How rude is that? Then when I drill into the details, I get weird and cryptic messages. On my old device that I am trading in, it says "lease return" - "your device has shipped. Don't forget to return your old device to have your lease forgiven." I am not sure what the hell that means given that my phones were paid off on the EIP program over 2 years ago. So odd. Anyway, it will get here when it gets here.. At least I'm somewhere in the queue, hopefully.

The moral of the story? Next time call 611 at 11:58. I was on hold for 10min or so, many others were on hold for far shorter time or not at all. In a few minutes, order placed and receiving on launch day.

T-Mobile's site and app have always been a mess. I would never even think of trying to do a pre-order on their site. Unfortunately, you had to go through the pain to figure that out. I've been there and feel for you.
