Not worth it for $6.99. I'm sure you could get them to credit your account after you receive it.
Yeah, same thing happened to me. I called and the rep said they would waive the $6.99 fee after I received the phone, but couldn't change the shipping without cancelling the order (which she advised against). Seems pretty disingenuous that they would default on the mobile app to ground shipping for $6.99 when the air shipping was free. Why bother even offering ground shipping? I guess some people take their aviophobia very seriously.

Ah, don't you love "system errors." But odd because TMobs site is reporting orders placed now will ship by 11/17. Earlier today it was by 11/3. Then it slipped to 11/10. The waking up at 3am is the easy part. The tough part is waiting for the fog to clear before you can see when your phone is actually going to ship because if you ask 3 different reps you'll get 3 different answers. Even when I see my order with the iOS app one pages says 11/3 but if I click on that it says no delivery date.

BTW what time did you place your orders?

I placed my first order, online, around 5 am, the second was around 530am, over the phone, as I was not sure the first order went through (it didnt show up at first).

This was probably the most terrible pre-order experience I had in my life. I wanted the space gray / 256GB version. And wanted to pay full.
Apple:
x) Couldn't get in to the apple app / website until ~12:08. Finally ordered it through the app and got a delivery window 11/17-11/24. Obviously I was disappointed, given I did everything to order it as soon as possible.

T-Mobile:
x) At 12:15 I checked out the t-mobile site, went through the wizard and couldn't find the iphone x among the offered phones. Just the 8/8+/7/7+.
x) Went to twitter to see that hundreds of customers had the same experience. Contacted the twitter help line and started my wait to get support while refreshing the my t-mobile page.
x) After 30+ minute wait the rep told me to log out / log in and that solved the problem and now the iphone x showed up. BUT my payment didn't went through even after trying like 15 times. I got the notification of 15+ $1 charge, but their system thrown an error.

Maybe it's just expectations, maybe it's because it's just a phone, but I hoped for, but never expected a launch day phone given the slim reported inventory + huge # of launch countries. Anyone who's done these preorders in the past years knows they are always clusterf. because think about how many people are slamming these servers simultaneously. I consider it a "victory" that I might get my phone before TGiving.

Yeah the TMob site was def giving out ships by 11/10 at that point. Of course it wasn't real time but even now it's still showing Nov shipping.

The moral of the story? Next time call 611 at 11:58. I was on hold for 10min or so, many others were on hold for far shorter time or not at all. In a few minutes, order placed and receiving on launch day.

T-Mobile's site and app have always been a mess. I would never even think of trying to do a pre-order on their site. Unfortunately, you had to go through the pain to figure that out. I've been there and feel for you.

Indeed, the T-Mobile site is a mess, but is it really too much to ask to have a functioning pre-order process online when EVERY other major carriers managed to have one?

Out of curiosity: did they charge you the extra $20 for ordering through the phone?

Ordered at about 8:30 this morning. JOD. Took about 15 minutes total start to finish 64gb space Grey. Order says should ship 10/3-10/10. Let’s hope that’s accurate and way better than I expected based on the supply constraints that have been reported.

Just got my $20 upgrade fee credited over T-Force. While they definitely have their downfalls at times, T-Mobile has been the only carrier to actually go above and beyond to fix an issue. That’s probably why I’ve been with them for 15 years now.

They charged me. Any way to reverse this? I'm going to ask my rep at T-Mobile.

Took all of 10 minutes on the T-Force twitter. They’ll just apply a general $20 credit to the account instead of taking it off the order. The only way to waive the fee on the actual phone order is to cancel it and resubmit it, so instead he just credited to my account and will take off my next bill which is fine by me.

I didn't use the mobile app and still got charged for ground. Really hope we receive the phone on launch day still.

Well I guess I'm in worse shape then the rest of you. I got my order in shortly before 1AM after trying for an ENTIRE HOUR!! And it shows "no shipping estimate available". How rude is that? Then when I drill into the details, I get weird and cryptic messages. On my old device that I am trading in, it says "lease return" - "your device has shipped. Don't forget to return your old device to have your lease forgiven." I am not sure what the hell that means given that my phones were paid off on the EIP program over 2 years ago. So odd. Anyway, it will get here when it gets here.. At least I'm somewhere in the queue, hopefully.

Try 4hrs on one of my lines. On my account I do have a shipping estimate for that line that took the 4hrs. As we all know shipping estimates won’t really mean anything until closer to Friday. That is of course unless something changed from how they have done the previous pre-orders.

It would probably depend where you're located. I'm in New York, NY, so I figure the phones should leave Louisville about the same time whether shipped by air or ground, and ground shipping from Louisville should at most be a day or two more. I guess I'd rather be delayed a couple days than have to wait until the second wave of 11/3 - 11/10 ship dates.

To add to my previous timeline:

11:40 AM - saw the article that showed UK orders getting ready for shipment. Oh sorry "Dispatch".
11:42 AM - logged into My TMobile order status in hopes I would see the same. Now my 11/2-11/3 shipment date from last night has changed to the "don't know" message that I got in text. Going backwards here.

I think Legere read my earlier post about be flying out of town on 11/3 and basically decided I didn't need the 11/3 delivery.

Yep. I'm not much farther than you, in CT. Lets hope for the best!

Did any of you take the 300.00 trade in? I took the offer, but might sell it on Craigslist instead. The rep did tell me it wouldn’t change anything if I didn’t send it in to them. Certainly I can get more than that for an unlocked 7+
[doublepost=1509125941][/doublepost]

I honestly didn’t stay up until midnight to pre-order, it just worked out that way. After an hour of their site not working I called and somehow managed to get into the first grouping of shipments. My business partner called this morning and has the same shipping range that you do.
Yea I’m fine with it , I mean it could be a lot worse.Last year was a sh*t show lol

My story was a nightmare. Got up at 2:50am EST. Logged into t-mobile. It said pre-order. I went through the steps and landed on a iPhone 8 only or iPhone 7. Not what I wanted. Kept doing it for the next 10 mins. Now its 3:01 am and the site was running so slow and errors upon errors.

I called t-mobile and waited for 20 mins. then was told I had to be transferred to customer care to upgrade my line. I said why cant you help me in sales. He said he can only add a line. SO bingo I added a line. Got the iPhone X 64 GB Silver at 3:40 AM EST. This morning at 8am I got a text.
Free T-Mobile Msg: Thanks for shopping with us! We expect to ship your T-Mobile order # between 11/02/2017 and 11/03/2017. Visit http://t-mo.co/tmo_check_order for up-to-date status and shipping info while we're processing your order.

I got the Agreement like a min later after the order was placed. I dont know why the site was such a mess. Even apple.com at 3:01 was down. It said closed due to maintenance.

I wonder if mine will ship during those dates. I know when I ordered the iPhone 8 and apple watch 3 they came right on time.

This is how JOD and Jump work. Jump automatical requires the deposit listed on Tmobile website. JOD is $0 if you qualify but you have to have enough credit aka know as EC. If you don't have the ammount to finance $1000 plus taxes it will ask for a deposit. Things have changed. You would think it would release the credit aka EC of the phone you are using that you are trading in but since that phone is still in your possesion it locks that EC until returned. Now you will see the credit wipe off on your Tmobile account that you login to but in the backround the EC aka credit is not available for use by you yet. So people who jumped at $0 down for previous iphones they were a good bit cheaper than the Iphone X that extra $200-$350 on the X could make a big difference. JOD charges $0 down if you have enough credit once that credit drops below the phone ammount downpayments start to calculate for expample. I had two lines with JOD. I paid off one 8 plus to save credit for the X then will sell the 8 plus. Well JOD was removed because of this now I have jump on one line. So when I jumped that line automatically $279 plus taxes ect was due because that was what online says is required. When I got to my JOD the first phone removed some of my credit I didn't have enough left to cover the second phone for $0 on JOD so another deposit was required but it wasn't $279 it was aroun $230 because I finaced the rest then ran out of credit and had to pay the difference. I have been with Tmobile 5 years and have Excellent credit so I am normally $0. I have studied this extensively via escalation to executive team along with customer care and along with Twitter weeks before the X launch to prepare myself for what I was needing to pay. I also requested my available EC aka credit days before I ordered and did the math and it added up when I ordered. You also have to take into account do you have any ipads, apple watches or any accessories finacned this includes leases and EIP's. When they say your $0 down that does not mean any device at anytime for $0 it's only if the credit is available. I suggest everyone to use Twitter to verify your account they can break your credit down with all of your devices so you can actually see how much credit your using. Also don't forget that the final lease payout option that doesn't list on your Tmobile account but customer care sees it. Those are not calculated online when you view your balance. A brand new $800 iphone 8 Plus with $0 down will only show like $600 being used but in reality with the backround $200 payout option its really using all $800. I hope this helps everyone. If I can help more please ask. I have been drilling Tmobile for weeks disecting my account and learning in preparation for the X launch. Another thing for those who in the past have had there credit doubled due to issues or requests to get more devices at $0 down keep in mind when you get it doubled you dind't have enough credit for what you wanted so as a loyal customer they gave you more credit. Well once you do those Lease's or Eip's you are now over your credit limit so all those payments you started to make for the next 12 months may not have just lowered your balance alot it may have just gotten you barely under your max credit limit because you really have been paying the overage on your credit limit back, but in your mind you say well I have paid on this and that for X ammount of months why do I need a downpayment I should be good, but in reality you were just paying your overage down kinda like a overdraft.

My friend was doing theirs with ATT is was bad. No call center was open and as soon as they clicked iphone X online it put them in a waiting list with a timer for 30 plus minutes to even access your account to attempt to preorder. It was wild.

I ordered at 4AM but tmobile still cannot provide me a shipping date. anyone else have this problem? The 'order alert' on the app mentiones 11/2-11/5 but the details of the order say they don't have shipping info yet.
