If YOU we're Apple's CEO, what would you say on Friday?

I've read a bunch of posts about what everyone THINKS Apple we say on Friday. Let's turn it around.

On Friday, you're the CEO of Apple and can do anything you want. Aside from getting a feeling of how cool it must be to be Jobs, what would you say / do about the iPhone 4?

We have figured out what's wrong with the antenna, a silent revision has already shipped to our retail locations. Those with defective iPhone 4's can replace them at their nearest Apple Store or by visiting apple.com or call xxxxx.

The return slot has been pushed to 60 days.

Something like that would be what I would do.

Look fools, you people need to get a grip but not too tight of course and not with your left hand. Stop e-mailing me and go outside and play.

I'd walk off the stage before you all could even realize what just happened.

I'd say "good luck, make me proud!" to the poor souls I was sending in to the press conference on Apple's behalf. I doubt Steve will be there at all.

I would tell the world the truth: "The iPhone is a worthless piece of garbage, and we know it. We don't recommend buying one. We just love all the media hype surrounding it, because that's all it is."

Is that the truth or your truth?

Are you sitting right?

"We lied, we were deceptive and we knowingly downplayed an issue that we have been aware of for some time. But hey! We won't have a recall, so we save a few hundred millions and we'll just try to push this a little bit further.

By the way, the iPhone 4 is the best iPhone, we've ever had"

We messed up and while we strive for quality we fell short for some of our loyal users. So what were going to do is extend the return period for those of you that are having issues to 60 days.

If you have an effected unit we will offer you a 50 dollar apple gift card and a full refund for the bumper. The iPhone 4 is the best phone but further more our customers are the best in the industry.

Stick with us and we won't fail you again.

My prediction:

Steve Jobs himself will come out and address the issue personally. He will first go into how great the phone is, how its selling extraordinarily, how its the best iPhone to date. Then, he will say, "But, we have become aware of an antenna issue." Then he will go into some specific tech reasons for the antenna, like how the revolutionary design of the external antenna has never been done before and thus there was an unforeseen issue.

Then, he will have his bullet point solution:

1)We will be doing a slight hardware redesign of all future shipping iPhones which tweeks the antenna so as to eliminate the problem completely.

2) Any current iPhone users who are experiencing problems are entitled to a replacement with the redesigned iPhone, if they request it.

3) Customers who currently own iPhone can also receive a free bumper or Apple store credit for $30 instead of getting a full replacement phone.

Then he will apologize and state Apple's commitment to "making the best products possible."

Exit stage left... problem goes away in a few weeks.

Of course, no one can reach them to leave a complaint! >.>
