Got it working. Titan Ridge on Thunderbolt Display. All features including camera work after warm reboot. USB is too slow around 10-15MB as its not USB 3.

Sleep is not working right anymore and I assume that is just par for the course. When it tries to sleep just wakes up right away over and over. I just have to disable sleep and shut to down every time. Its about 160w with the apple display off on the lowest activity, I can't just be tossing quarters down the drain.

That seems to be the last biggest issue for me, lack of sleep and start/restart but its working great!

Sleep doesn't work correctly with any thunderbolt option correct?

I have a working flashed Titan Ridge Card with OC. Apollo and Thunderbolt display is working correctly. Sleep did not work with SAPPHIRE Radeon PULSE RX 570 which has a 6 pin power connector. Changed to SAPPHIRE Radeon PULSE RX 580 which has an 8 pin power connector. You need a mini 6 pin to 8 pin cable. I'm not sure but it seems that 6 pin power on the 570 card means no sleep whereas 8 pin power on the 580 will allow the computer to sleep?

Sleep not working has nothing to do with the GPU. It’s not working due to the titan ridge card.

Thats what I was thinking it was too. Since that jumper wire powering on Titan Ridge is drawing power it triggers the wakeup?

Is there any workaround yet? Or just disable sleep can call it a day.

Opencore at boot does not see the bootcamp sections :( How can I fix this? So how do I need to switch to windows
The method "select boot disk" from the settings of the Mac OS - does not work, because everything is stuck on the opencore bootloader
[automerge]1590355675[/automerge]
on macOS works great. Thank!

See this thread: MP 1,1-5,1 OpenCore on the Mac Pro which has several discussions of handling Windows bootcamp.

My machine can sleep with the titan ridge installed. It’s when I plug anything into is when sleep gets messed up.

hm, interesting observation. I totally missed testing that.

I unplugged the TB Display and manually engage sleep and it works! Awesome. Theres lots of times where this is much better for me, now I'll just have to manually unplug my display for now.

I’m doing an overhaul on my 2009 4,1=>5,1 cMP. This weekend I had installed OpenCore and flashed my Titan Ridge card to be able to run my Universal Audio Apollo natively. I just finished install a pair of 6-core 3.33GHz x5680 CPUs and now I can’t get my Apollo to connect. Has anyone dealt with this before?

I think you need help from antelope tech support to find out what the problem is. I wonder if there's a problem with communicating with Thunderbolt 1 devices from GC-TITAN RIDGE. I don't think so because the PCIe device is visible. Maybe add an Alpine Ridge device to the chain.

com_antelopeaudio_driver_AntelopeTBMessageChannel::waitForValidBlock(unsigned int) const is waiting 25 times (2 ms each) before reporting an error AntelopeTBMessageChannel: max DMA stall %u\n. Maybe you can change it to allow more retries, but that probably is not the problem.

Check current boot-args nvram boot-args
Change the current boot-args sudo nvram "boot-args=-no_compat_check debug=0x144" (include contents of old boot-args and add new boot-args)
Use the -G option to get verbose output which might show problem more clearly sudo lspci -G

Hello there,

Have you news from antelope? is your antelope audio interface working with the GC TITAN RIDGE? I have a Orion Gen 3 and mac pro mid 2010 and I'm thinking to buy the GC TITAN RIDGE

Thanks IndioX, if by « implement the SSDT file in OC » you mean that i need to put SSDT under ACPI and reference it in config.plist, that’s been already done since the beginning of my tests with no success.. and yes i tried warm reboots again without success.

What i find strange is why having a USB3 card in slot3 is impacting the TB card in slot4!

In any case, thanks for everyone who tried helping out, but i am getting at the end of my patience with this project, I’ll just accept that TB doesn’t work in my MP 5.1 for whatever reason...

This is what happened to me but with my SSD PCIe card in slot 3. After unplugging it that one time, TB3 worked fine after that and no weird ramping up and down with the fans during sleep anymore.

I have the Gigabyte Titan Ridge, is there a way to use it both on my Mojave Mac Pro 5.1 and on my Catalina z390?

I mean: without flashing it every time I put it in the other computer (I am not even sure if it needs to flashed when used on hackintosh...)

The EEPROM programming tool in your photos look very similar to the one I have. Except I use a different connector board for attaching the clip. I am not sure if this makes any difference in functionality, properly not though. I repeatedly flashed and verified different rom versions to my Titan Ridge card with this unmodified set-up, after measuring the voltage between pin 1 and 5 to be a little under V3.3 The card is working fine, tested with video through-put from RX580 to a Thunderbolt connected LG UltraFine 5K display.

Hi Brask. Are you able to get brightness controls and facetime camera and speakers using your ultrafine 5k?

I got a Titanridge card and flashed it with the 2.0 firmware. It does recognize the ultrafine 5k and shows an image. But no brightness controls or speakers or facetime camera( That is on cold boot ). If I reboot (warm reboot) then the system gets sluggish and I get no image on the ultrafine 5k. Any ideas? Thank you!

I have a Ultrafine 5K and cant get the facetime cameras and speakers to work after installing a flashed titan ridge card. I am using the cable with the pins 3 and 5 connected. It does show an image but no facetime camera or speakers.

It only works on cold boot. On warms boot no image shows and the UI gets sluggish on the second display until I unplug the Ultrafine 5K.

:(

Hello everyone, Im having issues with the Titan Ridge Flashed and a Sonnet 3.2 Allegro Pro pcie card. Two cards don't show correctly, with SSDT-Tbolt3.ami enabled. On my Mac Pro 4.1 flashed to 5.1 with bootrom 144.0.0.0.0

The Titan Ridge is in the 4th slot
Pins 1 & 3 jumped
Opencore is setup correctly with SSDT-TBOLT3.aml enabled
Every thing works fine without the Sonnet card, shows up as thunderbolt device Vender Apple Inc. But with the sonnet card in slot 3 it disables the Titan Ridge. If I place the Titan Ridge in slot 3 it disables the sonnet card this only happens when the SSDT-TBOLT3.aml enabled in opencore.

Thank you!
Can you help me to make open core works in my Mac Pro ?
