Hello I have flashed my titan ridge V2 with apple firmware thunderbolt v63.5 from the latest Monterey 12 3 1

Can someone create a new SSDT for this firmware ?
Can you upload the bin file like you did for v47? I tried both v23 and v47, both seemed to work for me with martin lo package.

Yes I can I have tried V23 from DSM & Elias, V47 and V63 from apple I have just one port working all good with Martin Lo 079 and OCLP 043 + SSDT from Martin Lo
Could we get the two thunderbolt port working together on titan ridge
I think we could flash Mapple ridge

So you only have 1 port working on all 3 firmware? I’m sure on v23 I had both working I’ll have to check v47 again and try the newest one.

My only issue was, when my usb 3.2 type c card is installed in slot 3, my TB3 card disappears

Both ports work with the original (and hacked) GC-TITAN RIDGE firmware (NVM 23). Note that using actual Mac firmware is currently just a curiosity. Without modification, it shouldn't be surprising that it doesn't fully work. The reason is that while some Macs use the same Thunderbolt chip (JHL7540) and power delivery chip (TPS65983) as the GC-TITAN RIDGE, the hardware configuration is different (particularly with USB 2 and DisplayPort).

My Apollo Thunderbolt and satellite works great with APPLE Firmware I use U25 Inateck For USB 3 and USBC

The 2 ports doesn't work well sometimes both sometimes no at all with The V23 Firmware for titan ridge

with Apple firmware 1 port works good

How could we get 2 ports working good ?

THE JHL7540 is the CHIP ON TITAN RIDGE

Yes. That's exactly what I said. Look, if you really want to get both ports working with the Mac firmware, then you'll have to modify it. It might be possible if the necessary change is in the active region of the firmware; however, if you need to change the ARC or PD code, then good luck reversing the compression and checksum algorithms!

if you guys want the Titan Ridge firmware v47.5 update from my 2018 MacBook Air. (It was on the EFI partition)
I didn't have time to try anything yet my card is dead and I'm waiting for a new one from amazon marketplace so I'm waiting for now...
If anyone tries it let me know :)

Did version 2 cards ship with NVM 23? Maybe that's the problem. In my case, I haven't had any problems with this firmware on my version 1 card.
So I just got into the 5,1 scene a few weeks ago and maybe I missed it, but, is there a reason we only have v23 hacked? Is v43+ versions non-hackable?

Also does anyone know why when I insert my usb 3.2 type-c pcie card in slot 3 my TB3 card disappears but when I remove it my TB3 card works fine? I was hoping to fill in all 4 pcie slots.

Those versions are also hackable, but the consensus is that version 23 is just better. In other words, the improvements made in versions 43 and 50 (for the GC-TITAN RIDGE) unfortunately turn out to be regressions when used in the Mac Pro.

Has some written a guide or summarized this thread somewhere? 1800 pages is kind of a lot to sift through!

Hey guys quick question…
I think my power supply in my 5,1 (original PSU from 2012) is degrading as I got a shutdown this morning after 30 minutes of low humming… I may have asked for it since I had a ton of stuff hooked in thunderbolt (Belkin express dock HD, 2 external nvme drives and my sonnet express card reader, an external eSATA / USB 3.1 TB2 adapter, a couple USB devices like 2 5Tb hard drives for backups, a label printer and my card reader… Could it be related to my GC-Titan-Ridge being hooked on power with my RX 580 without having the Pixlas mod? Thanks ?

The GC-Titan Ridge is probably only using 15W per port max and only if a device doesn't have its own power supply. The dock has its own power supply.

Has the restart issue been solved or still warm boot?
Unless an EFI component is developed, I believe that restarting will always be necessary after a cold boot to get full functionality out of certain Thunderbolt devices. Proper reconnect on wake is another shortcoming, but I believe this one can be addressed with a hardware modification, which I am currently investigating.

Nice! what Hardware are you working with. I just recently heard that there was a maple ridge now?

I've been on Titan Ridge flashed by DSM2 and that one has been working flawlessly sans warm boot but of course there are many other applications for TB

I just took a look at my saved searches that only look in Canada (no import taxes and free or $20-$30 express shipping…
Look what just popped and he’s open to talk ?? If I had waited to order my RX 6600… it’s not taxable so basically 140$ more than the RX 6600 for almost twice the power ?‍♂️ Someone go buy it… my bank converted it at $548 USD ? 515 €
I bought for a little over $2500 of hardware with the used Mac Pro 6,1 the 12 cores E5-2697 v2 and 64Gb memory kit, the Razer Core X Chroms, the 2 GC-Titan Ridge V2 cards for my 2 MP 5,1 with the second hand Sonnet RX 560 eGPU Puck, 2 2.5 ft TB3 cables, 2 Apple TB3 <-> TB2 converters, the RX 580 I got 2 months ago and RX 6600. I need to take a break before the next GPU ? take it away guys ??? I got into this too deep ?

I have both versions of the GC-TITAN RIDGE. I'm looking into externally resetting the main PD controller on wake to avoid power cycling my LG UltraFine 5K. (I've already designed a device that connects to the display and automatically power cycles it, but I'd like to find a less hackish solution...)

While macOS doesn't support Maple Ridge (and probably never will), the GC-MAPLE RIDGE card should work to some extent by spoofing the Titan Ridge device ID.
