I have a sickness.......

Is there a 12 step recovery for this? My wallet wants to know.....

We all need this programme, but each of our twelve steps would involve a new phone :D lol....

mind it's a bit 'pot calling the kettle black' in calling you out as an addict :)

Can you teach me your ways in how you guys flip phones so damn fast and often? I want that problem!!

Do you buy them off contract, full unlocked price so they are easier to sell/trade for the next device?

Using ATT and Next doesnt seem to keep up with this addiction.

1. Need a lot of money to burn
2. Sell old phones, buy new phones
3. Have an uncontrollable gadget addiction

^^^^ what he said.........especially the last part......
I do lose money on the phones.....but do recoup most on the resale. Sometimes I have been able to pick up phones cheap on CL....but you have to be careful. I was burned once on a IP4 as it had a bad ESN.
Bought a M8 on CL yesterday for $420 w/box and accessories. Met at the AT&T store to be sure the IMEI was clean and they didn't own any money on the phone. Before that picked up a Nexus 5 32Gb and wireless charger for $280. Not bad! But it is always buyer beware.....

You still have to be careful, they can always report the phone lost, stolen or damaged and the phone will be blacklisted

Yes you have to be VERY careful on Craigslist. I had a friend that was burned when he bought a Note 3, which had a clean ESN and everything and the seller screwed him by reporting it stolen to collect the insurance which blacklisted the phone!

That is why I meet at the carrier store. I can check to see if it is financed or reported stolen. It also activates it on my account and removes it from theirs. They can't report it stolen after coming to the carrier store and going through that process in front off the carrier employees.

Let us know how you get on flashing.

What guide did you follow to flash, and did you do it from your mac?

I must s-off my device sooner rather than later just havent gotten around to it.

Sweet! CM11 lets you re-arrange the software menus buttons on the bottom. I prefer the back button to be on the right side....

I'm using my verizon phone predominantly overseas and since it's an american phone, I can't seem to access the software update option since it's only available in CDMA mode whereas I'm using Global.

I've read that verizon has pushed out an update recently so how do I go about updating my software in this case?

Here's what it says in recovery if it helps

You can also do that with Gravity Box.

I wish I could change phones as fast as you guys too! But on eBay I can't find any good deals as the ones you're mentioning on Craiglist.

I'm still stuck with my old SGS3, although I must admit I'm still not finding any of the new flagships so desiring.

After having both the Nexus 5, Galaxy s5 and the Moto X, I finally took the plunge and switched to the HTC One M8. I'm really liking it a lot... I thought it would be too big... but its okay....

I have to say......after using my new M8 for a fews days....i am missing my S5 less and less. I am actually liking Sense more and more. I think I like it more than CM11 and TW! That is saying allot........Not a fan of the button on the top....but the knock to wake makes up for it.

Sense 6 is great. I am a big vanilla stock Android guy usually, having owned the first four Nexus phones, the past several years. And going with the One M8, I thought I'd be running the GPE ROM 100%, but after trying Sense 6, I LOVE it, and no way switching to the stock Nexus ROM.

Plus the power button on top does suck, but honestly I never use it, I have the volume rocker keys set to turn the screen on, and with the tap on, that works so well, is all I need.

I never use it either. i have the dot view case on during the day so that wakes screen and puts it to sleep too.

The feeling of general speed of Sense 6 throughout the UI is unparalleled on any android device Ive owned including the google play edition S4, and that's leaving animation scale on, not having to fine tune anything.

I wonder what apple acquiring beats will do to future htc phones.

HTC isn't associated with Beats anymore.

How's the camera treating you vs the S5?
