i am giving my opinion as a customer not just an employee.

I think you give up your right to give your personal opinions of products when you become an employee of the manufacturer.

My employer would quite likely censure or even fire me if they found me doing this about their products without their consent. In some jurisdictions it is even illegal without a disclaimer each and every time it happens.

In summary, you aren't doing your employer any favours with your current behaviour, IMO. I would have no interest in buying your employer's products now seeing the shilling that is condoned by you and (apparently) your employer, on this forum.

@ Ms Zagg

You are doing your company a disservice by posting any opinions about a product your employer sells. It's unprofessional and immediately invites skepticism. Disclosure aside, the only thing you should be posting here is that you'd like to hear feedback about products and also that you're a reliable contact for customer service issues.

Just my .02 :)

Use this free to buy case:

nothing.

yea that's right, cases are stupid. you spend hundreds to buy something so beautifully designed only to cover it up with some cheap plastic or silicone or leather.

I asked if anyone tried this particular case not if you don't like cases..

I agree but...

I agree that its mad to cover up the iphone when in use with some skin. But using a cover or pouch is sensible when not in use. Its a matter of time before you drop it and it isn't that hard to smash the glass. So I got a very thick leather pouch - in fact its handmade Superslim from New Zealand and this is a quality pouch - very very happy with this as its slim and its very easy to remove the iphone quickly when needed. So I say if you're going to use a cover then get quality to begin with and for under $40. Have a peek anyway http://ikonicedge.com/

the invisibleSHIELD is not only cheaper but it really lives up to its reputation! my blackberry has been protected on numerous occasions where i should have scratches or scuffs and to my delight there are none!!! i absolutely love the invisibleSHIELD and recommend it to everyone! :)

Yes, it may be cheaper but IMO it's a piece of crap. I've used it and removed it from my iphone within 2 days. I just couldn't get used to the orange peel effect on the front and the unstuck corners on the rear. I knew there had to be a better solution and have found it with the iSkin Solo and Power Support Non Glare combination.

I realize this is just my opinion and others may have had good luck with your product. If so, good for them. It just didn't work for me.

Has anyone tried the incipio ORION sleeve?

I really want a pouch for my phone and not so much a case! I want to enjoy the beautiful phone for what it is!! :)

My "Cases"

I think the invisibleSHIELD is too expensive when there are alternatives that do the same basic thing. I usually use either the BodyGuardz or Best Skins Ever for my iPhone 2g. I like the style of my iPhone and don't want to cover up the look, but I want it to maintain its pristine "new" look for as long as possible. Using one of these two products has allowed my phone to look almost brand new even though its a year and a half old. I am very hard on my cell phones and in the past had them looking old and/or broken within a few months. I think that the state of my iPhone is a testament to the quality of the iPhones design and the "cases" I have been using.

The nice thing about bodyguardz is that you get the applicator and "squeegee" along with 2 "cases". The great thing about bestskins is that you can get just one for half the price (actually more then half) of the other 2, but no solution or "squeegee".

Right now I am using bodyguardz, but every few months, when I cant stand the build up I replace the case with another. I've got another bodyguardz lined up ready to go in a few months (about 6, give or take 2 months) and maybe I'll get bestskins next.

Anyway, my opinion, for what its worth.

Nobody like soft case then:confused:

I like soft cases, but they come off too easily and allow dirt and lint under the case when you put the phone in your pocket. My phone stays in my jeans pocket, so that's an issue for me and was scratching the heck out of my phone.

Hey guys. I need some advice... I currently have my $200 iPhone in a $5 rubber case I got on the streets of NYC... It's really unattractive and probably doesn't even protect my iPhone, so I want to get a new case. Should I get:

1.) Ultra Slim Silicone Case?
2.) Incase Slider?
3.) SwitchEasy Colors?
4.) Incipio Feather?

I'm worried about dirt getting in the case and scratching up my iPhone (but if I get something like the Invisible Shield/Best Skin Ever type of material AND a case, won't the skin protect the phone against scratches? Or will it not fit in the case?) and also I want a case with MINIMAL bulk... So which will match my needs the best? Which would you recommend? Speaking from your experience with any of these cases?

Thank you :apple:

do not get the ultra slim sillicone. I got that while it is very ultra slim its quite flimsy and does not protect your phone well. Thinnest will be the feather however it does protect as well.

If you decide to go with a sillicone case go with the colors.

Orbino Pantera

I just received the Orbino Pantera in the pecan color. I love it! Yes, it was expemsive but also looks it. Very well made and my iphone fits like a glove. The magentic closure on the flap seems a bit loose but I think it'll get better with use. Now I'll alternate between the pantera and the iSkin Solo

Beautiful looking case, but considering protection.....has some blatent design flaws.

You're right, of course. But, based on what I'm reading here, most cases do have design flaws. I'm not sure the perfect case exists. If I were to base my descision only on this forum, I'd still be looking. There will always be some flaw or critical element that someone can point to.
It's all in the eye of the beholder. A case can be a very personal descision. If it's something you're happy with, go for it.

Orbino definitely looks to make a very nice case (I have a Sena case now) and I might just purchase the Strada (despite the top end being even more exposed than the Sena). Vaja is also exposed seemingly for stylistic reasons but after seeing quite a few posts detailing shoddy workmanship and equally crappy customer service I do not think I will purchase from them.

What concerns me about the Orbino are the very small holes for speaker and microphone (specifically) at the base. I have seen two reviews, one on ilounge and the other on youtube, commenting on the muffled sound that your callers get. I was concerned about the Sena but apparently they made tailoring changes and all my callers tell me there is no difference with the naked phone and the Sena case on.

IMO Piel Frama make the best upmarket leather case. The leather and workmanship is superb and there are no sections of your iPhone that are not protected.
