Anybody who ordered the Sena Ultraslim, has it shipped yet? I ordered mine on the 7th and I still have not recieved word that it has shipped.

Sorry, but ... does that say Calf Skin? I don't think - in a million years - that I would want a dead baby cow's skin surrounding my cell phone. That is just... talk about inhumane... wow. :( Why not hire a slave to carry it around for you while you're at it?

SWEET! that slave thing sounds good

I've been using this for the past couple of days...

As someone new to the iPhone, I have a question for your folks:

Why the need for a case with something that's designed specifically to fit into your pocket? Also, I'm sure you've all seen the PC World stress test. So - what am I missing?

(I'm sincerely interested, not condemning anyone for using a case. For all I know, *I* should go get a case too.)

I couldn't help but laugh when I saw your post. I also use Oakley software bags for everything. My digital camera, my PSP, my Nintendo DS. Those things are so convenient and free. That is the best part.

How are they free? I have several pairs of Oakley's....and a pouch for each one.:D

Whatever the impression given by that test, in reality (as countless posts on this forum testify) the iPhone is susceptible to scratches, particularly on areas other than the screen.

Well, here in the Los Angeles area we have at least 3 Oakley stores. You just walk in and ask them for a bag, tell them you need one. They ususally give you two or three.

Would you say putting it in the pocket of a jacket or slacks with nothing else in that pocket would be safe? I mainly work from home, so I don't travel with it as much as others do.

this is probably more an "accessories" post, but here's the one I ordered:

iPhone Strada Case (Black Calfskin)

I like it because mostly there seem to be 2 types of cases: 1) cases that protect your phone when you carry it (and you need to take the phone out and 2) cases that you leave on all the time.

The ones that you leave on all the time I just didn't like because they seem to destroy the aesthetics of the iPhone.

The ones you just carry the phone in I didn't like because I wanted some protection in case I dropped it.

This Orbino case seemed like the perfect trade off between aesthetics and protection.

I also ordered a set of crystal film from apple to protect the screen because I am not sure I like Orbino's screen protection.
I ordered the Mac Book case from them, can you post pictures of your actual phone in this case. What do you think about the case and it use with the iphone? thanks

After reading this entire thread, I still don't feel like I have a good idea of the best cover. that one rubberish one that covers the side and all the back looks best to me, but apparently it scratches it... anything with the same function that doesn't need to be taken off to dock it?

I haver the incase rubber case on my phone and have no visible scratches on the part of the phone covered by it. It does get a little stretched out if you take it on and off, so I have stopped using the the dock. I do think I will continue to look for a case, but I have not found one I like better yet. But you should decide on the case that works the way you want for the reasons you want it, including possibly not using a case. I want something that will help protect the phone from falls. A rubber case seems to be the best choice for this and has saved the phone on two occasions. YOur milage may vary.

Out...

Where can you buy a slave? I thought they were outlawed?!? :)

Hahahahahahahaha, that was hilarious! "Swagarific"? hahahahaha! that case looks ugly and the "demo" (if you can call it that...yo) its more like a comedy than anything.

It has openings on the back that will let you attach to your belt horizontally. How fat do you have to be in order for that to be comfortable on your side?

I'll bet that you have scratches now. Check. Check now!

I also have the inCase rubber case and it stretches whether or not you take it in or out to sync. I've taken it off a total of four times to clean out dust inside of it which will scratch the phone and mine is stretched at least a quarter of an inch at this point.

I wrote inCase's customer service last weekend asking if they would replace it with a better design or refund my money, but they have not yet written me back.

As it stands, I don't recommend it. I'm also disappointed in their lack of reply.

Why I use a case

Not to protect the phone so much as to not scratch wood tables surfaces around the house (bedside table, kitchen table etc). With my Malware cover I can place the phone face side up or down without having to worry about the phone's glass surface or scratching the table.

I am quite partial to my Griffin Elan Snap-in Case for iPhone, however folks report the clip is not very robust and snaps easily (haven't had the problem myself, but I don't keep my phone on my belt all that much).

InCase can go and...

I have this InCase rubber case, and sure enough, after reading this, I took it off and:

SCRATCHES!

Unbeleivable!

You pay $30 bucks for something that ruins your phone!

I threw it in the trash and ordered a Vaja case:

vajacases.com

It's nearly $100 bucks so it better do the trick -- at least you can custmize it.

iSkin Revo looked like the best of everything out there except that it`ll need to be taken off when connecting to iPhone dock. I might still go for it. But one thing is still missing. I dont have an iPhone yet. Anyone coming back home to India?:)

BTW no one mentioned it but I think iPod socks might also work well for an iphone instead of bulky leather cases. I put a lot of things in my pockets(office/home/car keys etc). So I`ll never put an iPhone naked in my jeans pocket.

EDIT: Has anyone got iSkin Revo? Does it make iPhone bulky? Also does it look ok enough to brace an iPhone?

Just wanted to say that mybestskinever came in today and it's amazing. I'm two hours post install and I'm still tweaking any minor bubbles and getting the flaps perfect but this is well worth the 10 dollars. it really makes the back of the iPhone shine. Unless you really look at it hard and get up close you can't even tell it's installed.

I'm not sure where they ship from but I bought it on friday morning and it arrived today in KY.

I'm still waiting on my Power Support Crystal Film Set for the screen to come in.
