Did you guys read about the McLaren that got creamed by a train a month or so ago? It was on the back of a transport, the truck got stuck on the tracks at the crossing, sure enough, here comes a train. Nobody was hurt, apparently the car was being transported to a McLaren service center (probably Miami) - it happened about 1/2 a mile from my Mom's house - all those track crossings have a steep dropoff on one side, so a long trailer can bottom out at the middle (like a teeter-totter).

Owned by some doctor in the area. That probably wasn't a pleasant call to make _or_ receive :D
Are the rumors that some idiot crashed his 458 to get the latest 488 GTB?

Finally woke up for Cars & Coffee in Great Falls (VA). Saw a nice GT-40 replica, an Aventador, nice Rolls Royce Phantom (pre-WWII), Noble, Renault 5 Turbo (with MD plates, no less), a Mclaren, and lots of other nice cars. Ignored all the Porsches and Ferraris for the most part because they're somewhat common. Of course a few minutes after I left, I was told I had just missed a Ferrari F40. That would have been nice to see. Also got to see the new Miata, which looks great in person, and the Alfa 4C. I'm sure I'm forgetting many, but those are the ones I remember.

Still drinking around with the idea of trading the 5.0 for a Civic EX-L (non-nav). Went as far as to get a quote today, MSRP is $23,660 and I have a first email quote of $20,691 and the doc fee is capped at $75, so not a bad start. But I think there's another $1,000 in there that could be taken off especially with '16s around the corner?

Only problem is when we bought our house in May, for various reasons we refi'd the Mustang over to my credit union from Wells Fargo, who Ford credit unfortunately farmed out the original loan to. I've been wondering where the hell the title is and just came to find out on Friday that apparently Wells Fargo never sent a lien release to my credit union, so the title paperwork still hasn't been filed, so I probably won't see the title until October/November, so that's probably gonna sink my battleship

981 Cayman (GT4) for driving, 991 if you want the badge. The 991 911 is still an excellent sports car but IMO it has been surpassed by the Cayman if you're looking for that driving feel you can only get from Porsche.

981 Cayman Turbo with AWD and manual would pretty much be the perfect Porsche sports car

Damn you Porsche :(
