I’m just curious how Nissan will create a separation without conflating with the GTR, but still interesting news, because I thought the ‘Z’ was a dead market, yet has been around for quite some time with branding.
The upcoming E-Tron is nice. May not be as fast as a Model S, but it certainly looks a hell of a lot better inside and out. Plus, heaven forbid something happens to your car, you're not stuck waiting months for it to be repaired.
just drove my truck from LA to Vegas and back. got 17.1 mpg. this is the best mpg I've seen in the first 2000 miles.

This is a nicer way of saying Musk is a douchebag and that Tesla is hurtling towards bankruptcy.Let's face it-with Tesla you're paying for the name-and probably soon for a pile of lawsuits.
I can list 100 reasons why-even if I wanted an electric car-it wouldn't be a Tesla. We can start at build quality, mention the service wait times you mention, and throw in the fact that Tesla can push an OTA firmware update at any time and it would be stupidly easy for a rogue employee to put malicious code in. That's also ignoring the fact that the CEO has shown himself to be unstable and crazy...
I am still considering the Genesis G70. If they ever get it launched, it looks like a nice sports sedan alternative to the 3 series and Audi 4 series. No badge snobbery, but I’m ok with that.
I see Genesis all over the place. As far as people I know who have had them I hear mixed reviews. General impression I get is they fall between Acura/Buick and the GermansYou mentioned that back in August. I think the G70 is probably not practical for the average person, I watched a presentation back from N.Y Autoshsow. (Being that it is based off the Kia Stinger Platform). I think it’s a combination of the German era with Audi and BMW, especially with that wired mesh grill. But the Sport trim is nice paired with the 3.3 T.T-(365) HP/376 Tq or the 2.0 T T.-252 HP/260TQ [Which the 2.0 trim is offering a Manual]. As far aesthetics are concerned, I do like the exterior more than I do from the interior photo’s.
North of my City, we have a Hyundai/Genesis dealer that coexist together, but I don’t see Genesis brand on the road very much or very little marketing exists in addition. Curious to see how the G70 competes over-All.

Loving my new Lexus ES300h hybrid. AKA a Camry in a Tux but quiet, smooth, with a Mark Levinson stereo for $40k.
But a rotten GUI so now I *need* a new iPhone with a dash mount.
Yeah, a lot of people talk about specific models of Lexus (Lexii?) being a "fancy Toyota", but having owned both, I can tell, the dealer experience at Lexus was just about the worth the extra price (everything else equal).
The Levinson audio option - at least when I heard it in an LS460, was __stunning__ for OEM car audio (for any car audio for that matter).
doesn't Toyota have a Camry hybrid? wouldn't it be the same mechanically?
Yes but I think there are various generation hybrid systems and don’t know how they line up. The Lexus shares many parts with the Avalon along with the Camry and I’ll just assume the techs with know more than I do! They better.
