Some brands offered that option when they started installing those abhorrent and weak custom fit systems a couple years ago.My European Golf has a CD player in the glove box.
More "progress": keyless technology that makes the cars easier to steal.
Having to deal with your car getting stolen is a hassle.Car insurance is a hassle now?

Look at the second article that I posted. A previous German study from January found 230 out of 237 keyless models to be insecure.I hate to agree with cube, but not only is it a hassle because now you need a new car ASAP, but you may not have been ready or in a position to buy one. You’re also out your $500-$1000 deductible. Of course that being said, the likelyhood of this happening to you is very slim. And not all keyless enter and go systems are the same. Some rank very highly in security.
Which is more hassle than just using your key! Progress is supposed to improve our life, not add steps to make things more complicated. This is why people with keyless entry cars are being urged to put their keys in a metal box in the middle of the house where thieves are unable to use them to transfer the signal to open and start the car. My father in law has to do this as it’s becoming a common method of theft where we live. Thankfully both my cars rely on proper keys lol.

The few keyless vehicles that were found to have good security are expensive.
How convenient.I park my car in a faraday cage at night, so it shouldn't be an issue.
I recently purchased a large sheet of aluminum foil, so when I'm out in public, I wrap the car after locking it. Think of it like a giant tinfoil hat for the BMW.
