If it’s just the tie rods, it will be cheaper than I thought even with upgrades parts. If I bent some suspension mounts, that will be expensive. Fingers crossed.
I usually presume the worst when it comes to cost. Less of a shock then.

Minor update:

So the 2017 GT350 I was looking at, was fairly competitive in price and had low miles, I never did fly out to the east coast to look at it, and I’m glad I didn’t. Because the dealership failed to disclose to me that it was actually a ‘buyback’ Mustang from Ford and it was *not* listed on the details page about the vehicle. So fairly disappointing in that sense, because I was keen on this car being near the top of the list. Oh, and how I found out that it was actually a buyback, was I had to research the Vin, and even after talking to the same sales rep multiple times, never once on the phone was this disclosed to me. Lesson being, do your due diligence.

Anyways, I’m still watching another GT 350, it’s actually a little bit closer to me, but I’m still not entirely sure if I want two Mustangs, even though I think the GT350 really is a special car, and I’m still toying with the idea of a 18/19 GT 10 speed and of course the 18/19 Scat pack. Tough decisions.

A vice and a big hammer and you’ll not need to buy any parts! :D

was talking to an offroad mechanic at the time. he suggested getting a ratchet strap and trying to bend it back. thought about it, but didn't want to make it worse or snap something else.

I was talking to a mechanic about cars that have been written off and then put back on the road.
In the UK they get classified as such, and it stays on the log book of the car. So you can have minior damage like mine had (cat D) or more severe structural damage.
He bought a structural damaged BMW to do up but the chassis was twisted so it was going to cost too much to fix.
He sold it for spares. The Polish guys that bought it said they were going to straighten it out using a couple of walls and a trolley jack.

Scary. To make it worse, they were going to export it to Poland, then bring it back as an import. So a new log book and nobody will know it’s history.

Ah, yeah I've read about that scam before. There was a or still is a YouTube channel dedicated to that, but they didn't reimport the car. They just sold it with the info that it had been totaled.

Ohio just eliminated the front license plate requirement starting in July 2020. Too bad I already bought a Sto-N-Sho for like $90, but at least I hadn't installed it yet.

That’s interesting that you bring this up. Because there’s actually a few other states that are also looking at eliminating the front license plate. I see it as a two-sided factor, 1.)From a L.E.O perspective, I do think they are necessary and it’s one of the main reasons why front license plates are mandated by law, and then on the flip side—> 2.) In terms of actually saving money from the D.O.T to the driver, the long-term cost saving benefits is there, where that money can be utilized with the infrastructure in improving highways, obtaining State grants, ect.

Instrument panel in the center, really.

You cannot complain if the model doesn't sell.

2020 Ford Escape.

I attached a version of the 2019 version below. I like the 2020 refresh, although I do think it verges on the Mazda CX design elements quite series heavily. But more than anything, I do like the tail lights and revisions from the back more than I do the front. (I personally thought the 2019 version was more ‘generic looking.’)

I definitely see how the Ford Escape grill is very much Kia-esque. I think Ford is trying to be a lot more bold with their designs moving forward, so many of their previous sedans/Suv’s looked generic/bland. The Fusion was in the right direction with changes made, but it seems today everything is about aggressive grills/front bumper facia’s, unique accent LED lighting, ect. That all said, it seems a lot of these auto manufacturers tend to look like each other one way or the other. With all these design trends trying to be more ‘futuristic’, it seems they all tend to clash in some form. Still, you got to give these engineers the necessary credit, given what they have to work with year-to-year changes.

So, I guess it has been a while since I have updated my car situation on here. Anyway. My A4 was great, but to me it was always a 2-3 year audition for a more permanent purchase with more options.

The only thing I knew is I wanted some variation of the A4.

Here's the thing: A brand new A4 is pushing $45K-$50K. So I had other ideas. Anyway, after some soul searching and living on CarGurus, I found this guy in San Antonio:

[doublepost=1554681713][/doublepost]Here's a look at the back for clarification:

It's a CPO S4 with sub 10,000 miles in the low 40s. The thing is spectacular. Take the refinement of the A4 in comfort mode and, when you feel like it, set it to Auto or Dynamic mode and the thing becomes possessed by a demon hell bent on consuming the road. The thing is fast as hell and can get me in a ton of trouble if I'm not careful.

Fuel economy is about 18-20 driving to work (no highways) and 30 going downtown (highways). The noise is pretty glorious. Virtual cockpit is awesome as are the sport seats.
