Got the carrier update, got the SMS from AT&T...no dice. Everything looks like it's working but MMS isn't working. It loads to ~95%, sites there for a minute or two, then fails.

Working fine in Lexington, Ky after I downloaded new carrier 5.5. I did not get a text from AT&T letting me know it was available.
Whats up with major companies not knowing when seasons start and end?!
Apple said 3.0 would come in summer. It really came in spring.

No text from AT&T. Got the carrier update when I plugged in my iPhone and synced with iTunes. Can send just fine, still no receive (I don't even get that stupid mywireless text).

I was able to send ONE, yes, ONE MMS......getting nothing but exclamation points now....it must be the **** infrastructure.
UPDATE:
I called AT&T customer support and told them that I could send MMS messages fine but couldn't receive them. The tech put me on hold for a few minutes and told me he had to fix some settings on my account, and then to power my phone off, take the SIM card out for a few seconds, and then power it back on. Sure enough, it worked... I received the AT&T test MMS messages with no problem. So it looks like I'm finally fully online.
Just got the update in iTunes, and everything works perfect. There is a slight lag in the network, but had quick delievery for the message. Looks like AT&T can do something right after all.
If someone attaches a picture and text within one message, does that count as one or two texts?
I think it counts as two messages, due to how the bubbles go, but i believe the reciever gets it in one message.
Tampa acct up and running - in Tallahassee
I have an account based in Tampa, Florida. Traveled to Tallahassee, Florida for a football game this weekend (Go Noles!!). Updated my 3Gs and my wife's 3G. After restart of both phones, both are sending and receiving MMS fine. (Never received the ATT text re availability)

Yeah that's happening to me to. I'm on the phone with ATT now. The rep has just told me she has not idea what to do and put me back on hold so that a "Tech Support rep" can be consulted.
edit: Don't know why I'm not surprised. It's a wonder anyone can make calls on an iPhone at all with this network.
