Harvested the rubber band from one of my Michael Kors watches. Pleased. Not the end all be all, but I much prefer this over the black sport band (which is now in my gym bag). And this is a nice contract to my blue LL,

Where did you get the adapter?

ianfann, This is beautiful also! So nice that I actually don't mind that the adapters are SS. If it's not that pricy, I'd just mark it up with a black Sharpie...maybe? I'm just thrilled there are some real nice choices with the 3rd party bands now - way too excited to mod my watch a tad! :)[/QUOTE]

I went ahead and sharpied the adapter, I guess this will do for now...

I would love to know the same thing. I am trying to find a quality proven stainless adapter. Every post seems to be about a different ebay adapter somebody ordered and the quality seems to be hit or miss.

Well, when there is a consensus of which adapters are good - assuming that ever happens - then let me know also. (Bought two brown leather bands off Amazon - both around $28 with adapters. First went back the same afternoon because the adapter would not lock in place. Still have the second, but not sure if the adapter is good enough quality for me to invest in going out and purchasing a nice brown leather band yet as the one that I ordered was nice, but still very stiff after wearing it a few days.)

anyone get one of the "gun" coloured adapters that are now on aliexpress and eBay. I have one on order but have no clue how well it will work with space grey

I got them today from the eBay seller from Utica, NY. I'm happy with them. For $16 they work good and let me use whatever strap I want.

I know this is different but, I wonder if we could use the Leatherman Tread Bracelet for the watch with an adapter. I'm a HUGE tools freak, being a huge outdoors nerd I am (Coloradan in the house!) and having this which is also TSA Compliant, would be awesome and IMO I would rather have both of these which I'm getting one at Cabela's next week, better than spending on a Link Bracelet from Apple.

I don't know if that mix would work. As far as looks go. The AW is sleek and technical looking while the leatherman is more industrial. Each are good in their way, but not sure about the mix.

Just ordered an aftermarket leather loop on eBay for £21. Will report back.

Let us know how it goes. I've tried twice now to order a leather loop and have not received anything. The first one says the product shipped and that he has reshipped (but I have not received a new tracking number, and now he says they don't do tracking numbers for items less than $50). (Yes, I have emailed asking how it is that I got a tracking number for the first one.) I've only just gotten to the point where I've emailed the second one asking when it will actually ship.
