11" $1199 unit picked up at Apple store today and love it. I have an iMac that isn't using Lion yet, an iPad, and iPhone. Not sure if I will even keep the iPad now this thing is very cool, so fast it's not hot I can't hear it. Apple really built an awesome machine here. Thus making me more of an addict why does this have to be such an expensive hobby?
Pulled the trigger on it yesterday!
13" 1.7GB i5/256GB with educational discount from Apple store. Wife pulled the trigger on an iPad as well, since she already bought her own MBP almost 2 years ago.
this was kinda symbolic for me.. it was 30 years to the month since my family's 1st Apple purchase. Parents bought our first computer back in July '81, which was the Apple IIe. I'm thinking of flying home to get pictures of both together, since it is still in excellent working condition! So I feel like I've come home.

Ordered MBA 11" 1.6/4/128 early Wednesday afternoon ET. No option for expedited shipping. My MBA was prepared for shipment very shortly, but then it wasn't until Thursday morning that it shipped and I got the tracking #. However, I wasn't able to get any tracking updates on UPS until Saturday morning when magically there was an origin scan in Concord, ON Thursday at 5:35 pm and a destination scan in Concord, ON Thursday at 5:36 pm. I've got a few questions if anyone has a background in logistics! Why is the origin and destination the same? Why didn't those updates appear until Saturday? And why didn't UPS send it out for delivery on Friday if it arrived Thursday afternoon?
Oh well. Looks like I may be leaving work a bit early on Monday...

Picked up the 13.3" i5 128gb ssd...got it from best buy...i was amazed that they had it in stock placed the order over the phone....they dont even have the display for the new one up yet...they have a 65$ discount on it better than Apple and i used my bros student i d and got the 100$ best buy gift card! great deal! and the computer is blazingly fast! so awesome..my first mac !
Just ordered the base 13'' MBA with Apple Care! I haven't owned a Macbook in quite some time so I'm excited to finally have one again!
The last notebook I owned was the black Macbook intel core duo... which I gave to my mom to help ease her over from the dark side. I'm going to need a new keyboard once I get this machine since I will have worn out the command+R buttons.

Ordered a maxed out 13" on friday with educational discount, delivery is due august 4th

This is all taking too long!!! ordered wednesday afternoon 13" i7, 256Gb. Last saturday status changed to prepared for shipment. But now still on this status. I really hope to receive a tracking code today, at least then I know it's on it's way and I can see the actual status.
How long does it usually stays on Prepared for shipment? I guess also the weekend slows down a bit...

Went to the Walnut Street location in Philly, was out of there within 10 minutes with my 13" i5 with 256GB SSD. It took about 6 hours to migrate my account from my MBP so I only got to play around with it for a couple of hours, but this thing is a screamer. Absolutely destroys the 2009 13" MBP (not a huge surprise). The screen quality is astonishing. I'm in love.

13" Macbook Air i7, 4, 256 arrived earlier this afternoon.
Noticeably quicker than my 2010 13" Ultimate.

just pre-ordered a MBA 13" 128gb from powermax.com, along with trading in my iMac towards it. I think the air is the most excited I have been about a new toy in a long time. Anyone have an experience using migration assistant wirelessly to transfer information. I'm looking to pick and choose the content I want to put on the air. Am I able to do this? I have never had to do it this way, I have always just used time machine and do a complete transfer.
i cant help you with your migration of information, but i just wanted to ask why you decided to trade in your imac. was it the new line of imacs with the alumnim finish? just curious, i went to a friends house and he just bought a brand new 27" imac (beautiful machine), which almost made me change my mind about ordering an air, but i stayed with the air because of the portablility.
between my iPhone and my iPad, I barely touched my iMac. I live in a small apartment, so it also came down to a space saving decision. I mainly use it for iWork and iLife suite, e-mail, internet, etc. And now that I'm starting to go back to school in a few weeks, I wanted something I can take with me to class that is easy to type on. (ie not iPad).
