The "I just bought/ordered/got/shipped my new/refurb MBA" thread, [Merged]

I ordered a Macbook air from the Apple store online, and it's supposed to be delivered today. The package's tracking status said: "delivered" but I went to check my concierge and they said they didn't receive it.
I called UPS and they say it got delivered to the wrong address. Some dude called 'Joey' signed off on it and got it (Joey if you're reading this, return my MBA!).
However, after 15 minutes of the "delivered" status, the package got a new 'destination scan'. So either, Joey has it now OR Joey returned it to the driver and he's on his way, delivering it to me.
UPS is unsure and is following up on the case - they are trying to get hold of the driver.
I don't mind waiting a bit longer as long as I recieve my package, although, I am upset and a bit disappointed at UPS because I've been waiting forever for this. But my question is, what if Joey opened the box/package??? I'm worried. Any thoughts?

Its simple if you get an opened box you can say that you are not responsible, ship it back and apple will send you a new one.

This should not have happened in the first place coz it is UPS who is handling the delivery however at the end of the day its the people who manage the company so **** happens..

Make sure you dont receive an open or damaged mba

Thanks, bud. UPS sucks! Definitely won't tolerate any open box or damaged MBA.
Hope it arrives soon and safely. I do not want to wait forever... again...
 
Update on my misplaced delivery: UPS called me back and said the delivery guy delivered it to the wrong address. He'll go back to the wrong address at 6pm to pick up the package from 'Joey'.
Basically, if the delivery guy can retrieve the package he'll deliver it tomorrow, if he can't, I'll be reimbursed. In any case, the lady will call me back to update me tonight what to do going forward.
Screw Joey. Screw Friends.
 
My package that got delivered to the wrong address is arriving tomorrow. There was a certain period of about 7 hours it was in the hands of someone else. Should I accept the package or return it because I paid a premium price for it and don't want to risk any tampering that the Air may have gone through? Any thoughts?

You cannot return a shipment that was never delivered to you so I suggest take the delivery and see the condition of the hardware. If everything is sealed then there is nothing to worry about however if you have any doubts call AMAZON and then return it in due time.

I logged into my Amazon account to change the delivery address of my MBA however as soon as I submitted the change the shipping status changed from Not yet shipped -> Shipping Soon :D

Edit:

Now it is again NOT YET SHIPPED :mad::mad::mad:

Just walked into the apple shop and got my self the i5, 128gb 11" macbook air :cool::D:eek::):apple::apple::apple::apple::apple:

My ****in god I am chuffed!!!! This thing is the best computer i have ever had, and the screen is amazing/just the right size.
 
Just treated myself with Macbook Air 13 i7!!

To celebrate my recent graduation and for starting a new school, I treated myself with new Macbook Air 13" i7.

This little thing is blazing fast and so light and thin! I love it.

By the way, I want to get a invisible shield/skin on this thing. Where can I find the new updated skins for this one?

Or this 5th gen Macbook air has same case as previous one?
 
I just spoke to an Amazon Rep online and he said that new mba shipments should arrive somewhere between Sept 8 to Sept 23 now I am not sure how true this is but I am reporting what I was told. He checked this information from his internal system.

What one did you order? That seems a long amount of time to deny yourself of the macbook air!
 
On my way through Singapore, and picked up a lovely new i5 13" MBP w/256GB SSD :)

I really wasn't planning on getting one right now, but at £400 cheaper than uk for me after the GST discount too - couldn't resist :D

how do you change the delivery address?
 
there should be an option to change the delivery address if you cant just call them and they will do it for u
 
Apple store down?

I received an email from Apple today saying my Pro has been shipped. I tried to check this online and the Apple stores aren't responding so I can't access my account!

Can anyone else confirm this?
 
My 13/256 shipped yesterday from amazon. Up until it shipped it was showing estimated 8/31-9/16.
