Every Best Buy I called was out of the top of the line 13". I had to go to the Apple Store and that was absolute hell. Waiting on the effin iQueue for 45 minutes to spend 2 minutes for them getting my Air and going. Apple needs to do some serious changing with the process when there are customers that are just there to buy and then some to have the 30 minute meet and greet and learn how to click on apps.

Anyway I'm typing this up on my new MBA and that's all that matters, now to update my sig.

Just got a 11" MBA 128 gig on tuesday. I've got it hooked up to a 23" monitor for home use. My first mac ever and it's great, fast and dosn't get bogged down like my old Acer machine. Excellent for college as well. Looking forward to figuring everything out.:)

The Apple Order Status page has said "In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly" for a few days now. They finally merged the MBA i7, SuperDrive and Apple Care into one shipment for Fast Ship (EMEA) within Europe. This Apple page still says it will be delivered on Aug 30th subject to change.

I just checked the reference id on the UPS website and it tells me it is already in Dublin and will be delivered tomorrow. That's two weeks after it was ordered.

Can anyone tell me if its possible to order a 128GB 13" MBA with an i7 processor? I couldn't see an option for it on the store page but in fairness I didn't try and click through any buy options.

Just bought #2

Got the 13" Air to go alongside my 17" Pro. Needed something for monthly conferences, and the Air fit the bill the best.

Just bought a 11" 128gb (toshiba :() i5 with 4gb of RAM. Love it to bits already.

On a side note, does anyone know how to make it sleep when the lid is closed? Mine seems to just go into clamshell mode, and its annoying as I have gotten into the habit of shutting the lid when I leave.

Powermax is sending out my 13"MBA i5 256gb hd today! I'm so very excited, it'll be my first current generation Mac, and one that I will use as I'm bouncing from 4 floors and 6 different server rooms on a daily basis.

Not to mention, I walk for my commute, and having less weight in my backpack is a good thing. :):apple::)

I'm trying to convince myself that I need an Air to complement my 2010 17" MBP. My main issue is air travel. I can't imagine a 17" is too inflight friendly although I have never tried.

Just ordered a MacBook Air 13.3 (Low End) from the UK Education store, cannot wait to get it. Needed a new laptop, been looking around for a few days at windows machines, but obviously I know that specs don't always mean everything, so opted for a Air!!

Been lurking for a few weeks now and thought I would finally post.

Went to Best Buy to purchase the 13" i5 128gb. It's on sale, but they were going to honor my company discount that the Apple store honors, and I could also take advantage of the 18 mo. same as cash deal, while also adding a Canon 430ex II flash that I needed. My company discount is 8% which brought the price from $1299 to $1195. The rep went to fetch my new Air, but came back with news that they were all out but I could purchase it there, then drive 15 miles to another store. OR, I could purchase an open box unit that had just arrived that day, and had been cleaned up by the geek squad. I requested to look it over and they agreed. Looked brand new. Powered up without problems. The price for the open box was 10% off the sale price of $1234. So in the end I got it for $1111.49. The person checking us out even gave me another $20 off the flash. Score.

I've been enjoying it for a few days now, and the display port works great with a cheap HDMI adapter to my Pioneer Kuro.

My 13'' Air was just delivered, a day late, by Walsh Western/Syncreon UK!

Also no £65 iTunes card in the box or given in a separate parcel!!

Loving the air so far, opens apps faster than my i7 BTO 2011 iMac!
