My fiancée surprised me with a 13" 128 gb 2011 model about three weeks ago. She knew the new model was coming soon but she suggested I open the 2011 model and play with it since its my 1st Mac. I did and after returning it yesterday, I am now awaiting my 2012 model :D ordered it yesterday and should be here by Tuesday

As I get ready to complete my BA in social philosophy and head to grad school.. I upgraded to an 2012.. 11" 64gb ssd with 8gb ram.. From a 2003 black MacBook as the logic board has failed.. Excited.. Should be here on the 20th.

Got a refurbished 2011 13" air on order.

Did look at the 2012 models but was happy to save a few £££'s instead ;)

My First Impressions / Review on YouTube

Hi guys. If anyone's interested, I created a video for my new 2012 MBA. Some technical information is included.

NEW 2012 Apple MacBook Air 11" first impressions / review in HD

From the description: First impressions and review for the NEW Mid-2012 Apple MacBook Air (11.6" Core i5), with side by side comparison of the Mid-2011 MacBook Air (11.6" also Core i5). I talk about some of the new features, then run some side by side benchmarks and speed tests!

Cheers!

Hey everyone,

I ordered a brand new MBA 13" 1.7 GHz i5 256 GB. I wanted to wait until WWDC but I was ordering through my graduate school and I had to order by the end of May. The computer is currently shipping and should arrive any day.

I will bummed if new MBA's are released at WWDC. It would be great to swap my brand new, possibly unopened old gen MBA for a new gen version. Any advice for how to do this? Does Apple accept returns or swaps? Is there some forgiveness policy I could utilize? Or is eBay/craigslist my best bet (i.e., sell old MBA as soon as new one is announced)?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Is Apple willing to help?

I just got the 2012 macbook air

jus purchased the new 2012 macbook air 11" 128GB at the mall, Cheers!

Just order a 13" Air 8GB 256GB i7 model. I use a macbook pro 2011 at work but I have never owned a mac. Upgrading from a 2007 15" Dell Vostro that weighs almost 8 lbs, and has a geek bench score around 2000 should be a huge jump I hope. I've never used a SSD hard drive before either. :D

Ordered a 2012 13" i7, 8gb, 256gb, cannot wait! This will replace my recently sold early 2011 MBP at only $150 less than what I had paid for it. As a computer science major, I don't really need the processing power of the MBP. PC is used as a file server, media center, and of course for gaming.

Ordered this USB to HDMI/DVI/VGA adapter for my secondary monitor.

ships in 1-3 days

placed my order yesterday (14/6) for my new 13" standard MBA. Eta for me is the 18th. I'm in Australia :)

After 3 days my Air has finally shipped. Supposed to come on the 22nd June but crossing my fingers it comes earlier...

I just picked mine up from the Apple Store in Amsterdam. This machine is an absolute beast. I got the 13" - 256GB version.

Dual airs arrived

Placed my order for 2 M'book Air's for my 2 sons whom are entering high school in September. They arrived today all the way from Shangai, and I didn't even pay extra for shipping. Man that was fast!!!!!!!

I wanted an air earlier this year. Got it and I returned it because I thought a newer model would be released this year. Glad I did. $100 cheaper AND more powerful with an is upgrade for free? I'm down with it!

Ordered My First MacBook

After about half a year of debating it, I finally decided to get a MacBook Air 13" 256GB / 8GB / 2.0 GHz i7 and can't wait :) I have only previously had a used 2006 Mac Mini that I purchased to get used to OSX and after years of playing around with that, I'm ready to make the full jump into Apple Land.

I planned on getting a standard 13" Pro for so long, then was tempted by the new Retina Pro, but in the end I just couldn't get past the speed and light weight that the 13" Airs offer. I know eventually Apple will probably release a Retina version, but for the current line-up I just can't see a better portable all-around computer (the 11" Air comes close for me, but I like the slightly larger screen on the 13" as well as the built in SD Card slot).

Now the only hard part is waiting the 10-11 days estimated before it gets here =) So excited!

I ordered a base 13" mba from amazon. Ordered saturday will have it tuesday. Best part no tax and interest free for 12 months. No brainer. No out of pocket cash. And sold my 2011 mbp for what i paid for it ( which was a very good open box deal at bestbuy.)

to Anyone who ordered a macbook air via the education store: how the 100$ app store promotion card is applied? Do you receive a coupon code or is it connected to the apple id which make the order on the store? Thx

I believe they are mailing out physical cards.

Just ordered the following.

11' with 2.0 17 processor, 8Gb RAM, 128 Gig hard drive. Will be plugging it into my 24' Dell monitor. Now in the market for a USB3 hard drive.

Stoked, will be upgrading my 2008 MBP (4 to 5 years of faithful service). Went the 11' inch option due to my partner also wanting to take a laptop with her for when she goes to Europe for a few weeks :)

And i'll probably migrate the photography workflow to Aperture too :D

and now we wait.

My MacBook Air 13/8GB arrived in Cologne yesterday late afternoon; it was shipped from China on Sat early in the morning. Of course us lazy Germans haven't touched it since, so it's taking longer to cross the country than it took to fly around the world.

Estimated delivery by Apple was 22nd, estimated delivery by UPS is 20th, and I guess they know their processes best. I'll be a little bummed if it actually takes 3 days from Cologne to Berlin, but what can I do? (Note to Apple: I probably would have paid an extra 20€ or so for express delivery.)

This is my first Mac since I retired my late 2001 iBook - unless you count the "lamp" iMac I inherited and never really used - so you can imagine I am extra-excited about this.

Looking for some advice here. I have an opportunity to purchase a brand new macbook air 11.6" 64Gb (Low end 11.6") i5 from last year. It's still in it's plastic covering. Is this a good price?

Moving from 2009 macbook pro to a macbook air 13" 8GB ram/i5/125gb ssd

Very excited as this new mac should be about twice as powerful for half the weight. Great for uni.

Ordered Sat 16th...hoping it'll be here soon.
