Wow...seriously? That gives me some hope as I ordered mine on the 24th so maybe tomorrow? Did you have it delivered to the store or did you get it shipped directly to you?

BTW: I too have been on the 13" MBA for the last two generations and also switched to the 11" this time. I'm a little nervous about whether or not that screen will be too small for me, but from the time I was able to spend on the demo in the Apple Store, it seemed to be the sweet spot for me. Pretty excited to get this new one in my hot little hands.

So I was going to get a Retina MBP, then I had 3 things break down in my house all at once and now I'm going with a decked out Air 13" 8GB RAM 512 SSD i7. I know I'm probably over doing it but I know it will last me at least 3 years. I sold my 2009 MBP for $700. I think that was a pretty good price. Has anyone here transitioned from the MBP to the air? I know the obvious stuff but overall was wondering how they/you liked it. I have to ship to a Dallas store for convience, it says should have it on July 11, but hopefully it will be sooner than that. Cheers.

Got my i7/8GB/128 yesterday. This thing is amazing! Probably should have gone for the bigger hard drive (you really only start with 99GB because of the OS) but I'll figure it out.

Same, got an "in transit" scan in Anchorage last night, then another one, identical, several hours later, and nothing new since. Probably going to call FedEx to figure out what's up, I'll update if I do.

I spoke to Fedex, guy said the team handling my file is in a meeting and they are trying to figure out what happen. Seriously!!!!! Don't know what that means

Sounds like FedEx screwed up somewhere down the road. If they've already got a file and a team, it sounds pretty messed up.

Fedex called me back. Package is still in Anchorage for customs and will fly out tonight.

The rep said the delivery was updated to 6/29 on their system when the packet left China. But they changed it back to 7/2 after failing to clear customs on time. So 7/2 it is.

Mine has said 7/2 since I got tracking info and never changed from that, so I', not really buying their story.

May be, but most of the forum member who ordered MBA received it 1-2 day before delivery estimate.

Oh well, fingers crossed for a Saturday delivery, but at this point, it is what it is. Still miffed I paid the expedited shipping charge and didn't actually get expedited.

My shipment status on Fedex’s tracker just got updated. The computer went from Alaska to Oakland, CA.

The Air was ordered on June 24, expedited to deliver between June 29 and July 2. Looks like it’ll be here Monday!

Ordered my 13" i5/256 GB SSD/8 GB RAM Air today! I decided against the i7 because I prioritize battery and coolness over the slight performance bump that I prolly won't need because of the RAM.

Being as this is my first mac, I seriously wavered on a nightly basis between the MBP, MBP with retina and MBA, maybe from reading too many opinions on Macrumors forum. Anyway finally decided on the MBA. I was planning on a visit to the States in Sept, and was going to wait until then but that trip is now up in the air so I ordered from apple store - philippines today, I am getting BTO i7, 8 gig, 256 gig. Its going to cost me about three dollars more then if I got it in the states. Ships within 1-3 business days - expected delivery 7-11/ 7-13. Things move slow here in the Philippines.

I ordered mine from apple and got an estimated delivery time of 15 days (to northern europe). After 8 dags (2 of which was the weekend) a UPS truck knocked on my door with the delivery . Apple is known for having some margins on their delivery times, most of the time you get it much sooner. That's a quite good idea actually - if the delivery is late you get it on the date they said = happy customer. If the delivery goes normal speed, you get it much sooner = very happy customer. Apple is clever
