:(

My Macbook Air arrived right on time according to FedEx. Pulled it out of packaging and BAM there is a dent on the back casing :(. I shipped it back today for a refund and repurchasing once the funds go back into my card.

I was contemplating keeping it since it was such a small ding, but then it occurred to me that 6 months down the line I might need a repair and Apple might use the dent as an excuse to void my warranty. Plus I just paid $1400, I should have a dentless machine. Hopefully I won't have to do this again...guess my waiting game continues!!

I ordered my Air in a store nearby. I'm now waiting about two and a half weeks already. It was supposed to arrive last week, but apparently they haven't yet. Hopefully it will arrive somewhere this week.

Yes! My air should be here Thursday July 12. I ordered last thurs July 5. Way faster than last time, took 9 days last time. I returned my first one due to recessed trackpad on one side and had to wait for the refund to reorder. I hope I get a Samsung display again and there are no issues this time. It sucks they don't carry the 8gb upgrade in stores.

Are deliveries generally running ontime, early or late vs. the delivery estimate? So far, my expedited order has been sitting as "processing items" for 2 days, yet the early estimate would have it arrive in another 2 days. Is that possible?
No Saturday delivery right?

My MBA order (ordered July 8th) has been "preparing shipment" since yesterday. The est. delivery is 23-25 July.

Has anyone got their order earlier than the estimate?

Finally reordered 13in Air i5/8/256. Decided to upgrade the ssd and shipping to store this time, just in case something goes wrong again. Expected to be available for pick-up July 20, but hopefully much sooner!

Wow apple really surprised be here. Reordered my MB air i5/8/128 on July 5th. Shipped out July 9 from China and scheduled to arrive July 12 to LA. Tracked today to see progress and its been delivered. Can't wait to get home from work for this now. Hoping for no physical problems again and a Samsung display like my first attempt at an air.

My 2nd MBA (i7/8/512) went from China to Memphis with apparently no stop in Alaska. I know Memphis is the hub, but I live in California. Last one went China, Alaska, California.

Apple seems to be running later than their estimate in my case. Disappointing.

Ordered on 7/9, paid for expedited shipping. Estimate says delivered between 7/13-7/17. Here we are on 7/12, and not only is it not delivered, not even shipped, its still "processing items". Its been that way for 3 days.

Why can't Apple stock some common BTO configurations? MacMall says this configuration is in stock, ships immediately.

I ordered mine on July 9th.

The estimated delivery is July 13th - 17th.

It's shipped as of the 11th, but it's still in China as I type this. I don't think I'll be getting it tomorrow. :(

What did you order? Is it a BTO or one of the base configurations? How long did it sit preparing for shipment. I'm surprised its taking so long for mine to process (build).

Finally put in an order for mine yesterday, "downgrading" from a mid-2010 MBP 15".

Still processing, but with any luck it'll get here by the 20th as I'm leaving on a trip. It's the custom i7 2.0/8/256 configuration so hopefully they don't drag their feet getting it assembled. Expedited shipping ftw (I hope)!

Ordered a 256GB 13" Air with 8GB RAM upgrade from Apple.com last night (July 11).

Currently still Processing.

Estimated delivery July 18-20.

BTO... 11" 8gb ram, 2 ghz and 128gb storage. It sat preparing for two days. I'd hate to be waiting longer. I'm a tad miffed that it's not going to get here until Monday. :(

3 business days and my BTO 13" MBA expedited order was still "processing". Was taking too long. I decided to cancel the order. They gave me too much time to change my mind.

We have a tax free weekend coming up in 2 weeks. At this rate the machine would arrive not long before around then.

The 13" retina Macbook Pro is coming out soon (before October).

I keep hedging looking at abysmal resale values on eBay especially for upgraded machines. Now I'm thinking maybe I should get a base 13" from the local Apple store, no waiting weeks. Base model should hold its value better than the upgraded one. But its not much of an upgrade for me, just CPU speed, which is nice but not essential.

Getting an 11" with 8GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for work, with a 23" Dell screen, gonna be wicked! Anything I can do to rip out un needed OS stuff? Don't think it's gonna be a huge issue but mayaswell get as much space as I can. We have a 10gb work dropbox and will be using MS office and a couple of Google apps like adwords editor etc

64GB is not exactly wicked? ;)
I find this odd to upgrade to 8MB but have a 64GB SSD.

I've already got a top model 15" MBP from last year with Dual drives (SSD + 750gb HDD) so only need to store work stuff on it, will be running 6-7 programs at once to went for 8GB

As a tribute to all of those who line up at Apple Stores up to 48 hours in advance of a launch, perhaps you should camp in front of your house for a few days until to goods show up!? :)

Although that sounds fun.. it's being delivered to the office. I think it will be a productive day :D.
