Bought my new 2012 MBA 128GB/13"/8GB(RAM) on Jun. 29. :D It's supposed to get here by the 6th, but it's still in Shanghai.

I'm with you. I ordered the 29th and it is in "Transit in Shanghai"! Hopefully it time travels and comes in by tomorrow even though it is supposed to come in on the 6th! haha I can't wait!

I ordered on the 3rd and my air left China yesterday, says its expected on the 9th.

First time Mac user, it's replacing a HP Envy 13 with the Core2Duo 5GB Ram and ATI/AMD4330 with a PM800 SSD.

I got the 11 inch with the i7, 8GB and 128.

I can hardly wait.

So, my MBA is scheduled to get here tomorrow, and it still says on time, but this is still the last thing on the 'list':

In transit
ANCHORAGE, AK

I live on the East Coast, [specifically NC] so I'm beginning to wonder how it'll get here by tomorrow. I thought when it said 'In transit' from Anchorage it meant it had flown out, but I'm beginning to wonder if it's on a truck.

Just ordered the MBA 13" with i7, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD :D

I am a little concerned about the lack of Turbo Boost in Boot Camp, but since Apple seem to know about it, I presume they're working on a fix.

Is two weeks normal?

Hey guys first time posting here and a long time lurker. So I ordered a 13inch Macbook Air with the 8gig ram upgrade from the apple store with local pick up.

My receipt says July 12th will be the pick up date and I ordered on June 28th.

The wait is killing my. However I've noticed other members of the board who order later than I did and somehow managed to receive their laptops sooner than I will.

So I guess I just had bad luck when I ordered? or is this normal?

Thanks

Bought myself my first MacBook Air yesterday.

Specifications: 2 GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM, 250GB Flash Drive

I wasn't sure if I was able to get the desired specs that I wanted (shown above) without having to order it online but I went into my favourite Apple Store (Castle Towers, Sydney) I asked and they had it :D

My Air finally left Anchorage, and is somehow (on time) and is scheduled to be here tomorrow in North Carolina by 4:30. I just don't get how this is possible considering I live more than an hour from RDU. (Airport it'll almost undoubtedly come in by.)

I guess it'll just be a long night for the logistics workers.

Ordered my BTO maxed out MBA late last Thursday and picked it up at the Dallas store today. Not too bad wait considering the 4th of July too. It's still boxed up, gotta wait till the wife and kid goes to bed then let the magic happen. I also got absolutely no tracking info since it was a ship to store but I was a nice surprise, the order says delivery on July 11th and got I on the 5th. Cheers!

New Air/Mac user

I've been using my new Air for a few days, now (my first mac). It really is a great little computer...a quantum leap over my old 17'' HP laptop (2006). The speed which is does everything is amazing. The HP, which has served me well for six years, feels like a dinosaur now. Plus, it's nice actually using my laptop on my lap...the big HP was more of a desktop dweller. The smooth trackpad operation and its gestures are great too.

The transition/set-up was pretty easy, no real issues...I had a little problem importing my bookmarks to Chrome (sent them over via email), but I finally got them through google sync (still can't get them to transfer to Safari, though). The Air even recognized my wireless HP printer which my HP laptop never could!

Anyway, I just wanted to give some props to Apple for a nice product.

Longtime PC user here. Almost 17 years.

I have been waiting VERY patiently for the new iMac 27" but it has just not materialized, unfortunately. Very disappointing. I really had my heart set on the next version.

However, my 5 yr old desktop PC has become too problematic to continue using and after some quick research, I went ahead and bought the new 13" MBA 128/8GB. It arrives sometime next week. Can't wait. Very excited to begin using my new MAC after so many years of PC life. My iPhone has probably helped influence my decision towards another Apple product as well.

Not only will the OSX environment be new to me, but I've always owned desktops and strayed away from laptops for various reasons (power, size, ease of use, etc.). These days however, I would like to have a more portable life and the MBA seems it will fit well. It seems powerful enough for the basic stuff along with some more intensive applications, while being highly portable, slim, sleek and light. I would however, strongly recommend upgrading to 8GB. With a new OSX around the corner and to future proof the machine, 8 GB is a must.

When the new iMac does indeed release, I'll probably still end up purchasing it. Although now its purchase will be substantially pushed back to offset the spending on my MBA.

You'll love it. My Iphone experience lead me to a new Mac, too.

Good gosh, I'm sorry. I would've skipped a 2 week trip to a 5 star resort in the Bahamas for mine.

OK, maybe not. :p

New MBA was supposed to be delivered on Monday.

Air was in China yesterday morning and by the time I got home it was in Alaska. Woke up this morning to find it was at a facility in Chicago ... then it was at another facility in at 8 am and I was kind of upset that it was so close but probably wouldn't be delivered for another couple days.

FedEx guy comes into the office a half hour later with my new baby :)

Stayed up till 3am last night setting up my MBA and I know this ? Maybe should be under a different thread but do I have to rebuy Pages and Numbers again for 19.99 each? I thought i could re-download since its suppose to be part of iCloud? Maybe I shot myself in the foot?

My 13 incher [8GB/128GB] just arrived. :D I love it so far, and I'm about to check which screen I have. I think it may be the LG, but I don't care at all. I'm perfectly happy with this.

Placed an order today for BTO 13" Air. Says it will be here July 12-16. Expedited shipping estimated at July 12-13 so I opted for normal hoping it would get here before next weekend.

For some reason ship-to-store was July 17. I would have preferred picking it up but not if shipping to my house was quicker.
