Actually it shipped in the middle of the night! Last known location was Shanghai, will deliver Aug 6 before 4:30PM pacific time!

Sweet, your order actually shipped! I placed my order on Sunday (a day later than you) and awoke today to see my order status had changed to preparing to ship. So an easy guess that your order status had to have updated. I've never been good at waiting for my Apple goodies and this time is no different. Be sure to post if your system has ML pre-installed.

I think I found the difference, TNT apparently only fly between Europe and shanghai once a week and the plane according to flight radar is crossing east Europe on the move to China, for order hand, ups and others flying more often from there to USA.
I assume this is the main reason
I would leave it and stick with the i5. The SSD is pretty fast especially coupled with 8GB of RAM. Between these 2 things, the processor is less of a factor.
I am not familiar with TNT Shipping. I don't think they are in the US, so you might be right.
Now everything but my MBA has shipped. I wonder what will show up first the air or the tb to fw adapter I ordered this morning
Mine went from China to South-Korea and now landed in Amsterdam. I've read that in there it will be merged and shipped via UPS. Any ideas how long will that take and if there's any change for me to receive it before the weekend. I'm based in Sweden FWIW.

Finally shipped this morning after 3 days and 12 hours
Apparently my items will merge in transit (MBA + Student Voucher) and due for delivery on or before the 9th.
Think the voucher is slowing the whole thing down as I don't have a tracking code yet until they merge!

Mine changed to preparing for shipping yesterday afternoon and shipped out last night. It's already made it to Anchorage and is on a plane to Memphis now. My delivery is scheduled for Monday.

How long did it take from when you got charged to it shipping though?
Was it a few hours or a few minutes?
I ordered my MBA two days before you did and mine has reached Anchorage now, too. Its probably sitting right next to yours. It probably even fell on yours and dented it for getting there so quickly. Kidding! ^_^ I can't wait for Monday.
I chose expedited shipping on mine probably why it caught up. Has yours left Anchorage?
I didn't see when my card was charge but it was only a few hours that it was preparing for shipping before it shipped.
I just called and spoke to a rep.
They told me that because it is one item, they charge before they even prepare it for shipping, and don't do the $1 debit to check for card authorisation.
Thing is, they did do a $1 hold and then charged the full amount, I think the rep was just pulling things out of her A$$.

Lunchb0x8 I looked on my CC statement and i only have a temp charge on the day after I ordered. I'm sure Apple will rectify that shortly.
