Just ordered my first Macbook ever. Problem is now that I have ordered it I can't wait to get it and play with it.
Ordered: MacBook Air 13" 1.3 GHz i5/8 GB/256 GB for about 1435 € which is "cheap" here.

dear lord those VATs

25% is what we pay in VAT on stuff like this which is included in the prices I write if that wasn't clear.

Well the entry level MBA 1.3 GHz i5/4 GB/128 GB is ~1410 USD or ~ 1100 €.
So I decided to go with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD.

This was also about 58 € or 75 USD cheaper then from apple directly.

Waiting...

Just ordered a 13" Air i5/8/128 on Friday and it still says processing. I don't think I've ever checked my email so frequently waiting for the shipment notification! :D

Are you me? I ordered the same model on Friday too! And I've been obsessively checking my order status multiple times a day. :)

I also ordered a BTO MBA, Friday 7/5. Did you order the same Friday? Because mine has already shipped...

Yep. Ordered it at noon on 7/5. Seems like a long processing time for just a RAM upgrade. I called Apple yesterday and they couldn't give me any other information. Guess I will just have to wait.

Ordered an i5/8GB/128GB MBA on 7/3. I've been checking my order status anxiously the last couple of days since I figured it should be shipping any minute now. Got an email this morning from Apple saying that due to an "unexpected delay," my delivery date has changed from July 15 to July 18. I'd been hoping for sooner than July 15 since the Apple Store guy I talked to said Apple tends to "under-promise and over-deliver." Very disappointed! :(

Finally got my 13 inch i5/8/256 MBA yesterday! I ordered on June 29th from the online store, Apple said I'd get it today (10th) but UPS delivered one day early! This is my first ever mac coming from a PC, and I must say, I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm starting to get some things slowly. I'm sure I'll be on this forum a lot in the next few weeks :D

Received my 11" i5/8/256 yesterday... and as much as I loved the 2012, the 2013 is a huge improvement! I received an LG/SanDisk combo.. which I thought was odd, as most people were thinking that all the 256/512 SSDs were all Samsung. Write speed is around 570, with a read of 720, so it's still pretty quick.. write speed is a little slower than the Samsung, but nothing noticeable. The LG screen was a tad washed out, but I found a handy calibration link, which actually makes it look better than the Samsung display on my wife's MBA.

All in all, sweet little machine.. this is MBA #4, and appears to be the one I will be keeping for quite a while. Always loved the MBA, but never was pleased with battery life, up until now. Well done, Apple.. :D

Mine is now shipped and I was expecting it next week sometime..
It was not in stock and I ordered a CTO but it seems they did that in less than 24hrs and shipped it.

Really impressed so far.. Hopefully I have my first MacBook before the weekend even :)

Received my macbook air on monday (two days earlier then the expected delivery date)

I have been amazed with it and very lucky (no wifi issues, screen bleeding, and also received a Samsung screen)

It feels good to have a mac again after having the worst HP laptop i have seen.

Ordered a refurbished 2012 Macbook Air from Apple late Monday night--a 13 inch i5/4/256 for $1019. Would have gotten 8GB RAM but there wasn't one available, so I hope 4GB will be enough. I knew I wanted more than 128 for storage since I've got 160 now and have struggled not to fill it. I also didn't want to spend too much since I have been salivating over the MBP with Retina, but am waiting to see what the next generation of that one brings. Still, this will be a significant upgrade for me, and my husband (who is amazingly still using my iBook from 2005 with half a GB of RAM, mainly for Facebook and YouTube) will get my old Macbook; then if the new Retina is amazing or I can get a good price on a refurb in the fall, I'll give the Air to him. Even though this may be a somewhat temporary upgrade for me, I'm still quite excited!

Just ordered my MBA: i5/8gb/256GB. Now the fun part...this wait is gonna be killer. At least I have $100 in BTS App Store/iTunes credit to keep me occupied while I pace back and forth waiting for my shipment confirmation!

:apple: This is a big deal...my first Mac ever! Guess I can add it to my sig now, eh? ;) :apple:
