any one know how long it takes for ship to store orders? I shipped my order to Christiana mall in Delaware to save $100 on tax. Status changed to shipped on Tuesday. Right now the pick up date shows up as July 9. Wondering if it will get delivered by Saturday.

After lurking on these forums for the past couple weeks, trying to absorb as much information as I can, I finally decided to pull the trigger and buy my first mac. 13" MBA i7/8/512. Ordered today, the 4th and got an estimated delivery date of the 12th to the 16th (to California)

The only other apple product I've ever owned is my 20gb black and white ipod from 2004, which still runs great to this day, so I am looking forward to having the MBA last me a long time.

Also picked up a 3TB time capsule to add 802.11ac functionality to my fios router and to back up my external hd.

Can't wait for them to arrive and also looking forward to finally using Logic Pro 9 and seeing why everyone likes it so much.

Also wanted to thank everyone for the knowledge provided on these forums. Cheers!

I was on the fence but pulled the trigger

I was hoping we would see a haswell rMBP at WWDC but no luck. I am starting an MBA program next week so I am time constrained - the choice was stick with my bulky old PC laptop until the haswell rMBP dropped (whenever that is) or go with the MBA.

I really wanted haswell for the battery life so the current rMBP wasn't an option. The MBA is sweet but I am worried it might be under powered for what I need. I will mostly be using MS Office applications, but I also need to run Windows and possibly Linux. I will also do significant spreadsheet work and statistical analysis in MiniTab and R.

I pulled the trigger on the MBA (i7/8/256) because the PCIe SSD seems to have boosted the MBA performance past the Feb 2013 rMBP and that alleviates some of my concern on performance. If anyone has any comments or experience with statistics packages on the MBA I would love to hear your thoughts

An i7/8GB 2013 MBA will not be underpowered for what you're doing.

I'm gonna be doing live music and audio production in Logic Pro. I bought the same config as you but in the 11" model. I wouldn't worry for a second.

Just ordered a 2012 MBA 13" base model. After spending days and days searching eBay, refurb store, craigslist, and researching new purchase options for 2013's and even the 2012 13" rMBP. After changing my mind and flip-flopping 100 times, I've settled on this for now. I know the battery won't be as good, the RAM & SSD isn't as fast, and the HD4000 isn't as powerful. I plan to use this as an interim device until either 2013 Airs start showing up in the refurb store or see what happens with Haswell later this year in the base 13" rMBP. I hope I made the best call for myself!

Just found out my package shipped out from Pennsylvania, but won't arrive in California until next Thursday. I guess it shipped for free by UPS Ground. Bummer. I was hoping it would've shipped 2-day or something.

I've gone and ordered my very first Apple computer! Ordered a 13"/i7/8gb/256 Macbook Air and can't wait for it to arrive! Order on the 29th June and it's due for delivery in the UK on the 10th July. No tracking unfortunately as I ordered a case at the same time so can't track until both packages are combined.

I'm sure I'll be rewarded for my patience!:)

Going to pick it up at an Apple Store, currently its in transit.

Wish there was a way to track it, however the date did go from July 12 to 11.

Ordered a 2013 11" i5/8GB/256 to replace my 2011 13" MBA. I really hope I like it and can handle the smaller screen (Will be nice for those cross country flights). Supposed to be here by the end of the week.

Well -- after yet another Wifi failure on my lemon of a 2010 15" MBP, I walked to my nearby Apple Store and picked up a 13" MBA with max specs.

It's lovely! What a game-changer from a 15". The battery life readings are pretty unreal, but change a lot when you do more taxing activities. But I haven't even heard a whisper of a fan yet, so, yay.

I was very reluctant about giving up the matte screen on my MBP, but this screen is not very glossy, I barely notice a difference.

The speaker is excellent. It's quite loud and much higher quality than anything I have heard on a notebook, ever.

What else... hmm... Migration Assistant pushed 250gig of data, apps and settings from my MBP to my MBA in 2 hours. A little bittersweet how it basically feels like I am using the same computer, the apps and everything are the same. So seamless! Except my Office product keys and my Bootcamp partition; the latter I think I can reinstall by USB once I buy one tomorrow, but the former I will need the packaging for, which are waiting for me back home (I am out of town right now).

Very pleased with the purchase. Here's hoping all the Wifi drama I had with the MBP was due to it being a lemon and that's all in the past...

I've also just received my 13" i7/8GB/256GB MBA. I'm happy with it but secretly wish I had the Samsung screen - although after 2 days use I find that my eyes are loving the comfort from the screen, which it didn't get from the 11" MBA with Samsung screen. Maybe I don't miss the Samsung screen.

Battery life is as advertised but I haven't done any CPU intensive stuff yet.

Just add the custom profile, makes a massive difference:

Mine is in Memphis. Delivery says the 10th... seems a little bit long to get from Memphis to Chicago, hopefully it shows up early.

Welcome aboard! I think you will enjoy your new MBA.

Thanks :) The other 3 parts of my order have already shipped and should arrive this week, but the MBA itself is still listed as processing :(. If anyone's seen the movie Scott Pilgrim Vs The World... I feel like Scott when he's sitting down at the door days in advance, waiting for Ramona to deliver the package he ordered from Amazon...

Hi,

I just ordered a MBA 2013 11" i5 8GB 256 along with the Airport Extreme to utilise the new 802.11ac WiFi speeds :)

I'm based in the UK and have been given a delivery estimate of July 8 - 10

I'm moving from a 2011 13" MBP so am looking forward to the additional portability of the 11"

Happy days!

Received yesterday...1st impressions: love it! :)

Need to migrate from my old MBP and give it a good test, it's got the LG screen but after applying the MR profile looks good

Has anybody experiences with tracking the replacement of a RMA'd Macbook Air?

I just got mine laste week. It went suddenly black and won't get on. I called Apple, they immediately initiated a replacement.

got my 201311" i5/8/256 last night. had shipped to store and i arrived 4 days early.

stayed cool and no fans came on throughout re-install from a carbon copy clone/backup of my 2010 11" 128gb drive -- unlike the 2012 i played with and ended up returning.

had to upgrade this year because the 128gb drive was about full.

snappy enough but for my simple needs the c2duo in the 2010 was fine. like the backlit keyboard.

monitor is a samsung. 2010 was a lg. stock samsung definitely bluer and less color saturation compared to calibrated lg. on the other hand less backlight bleed on the samsung

bought a new airport extreme. not connecting at AC but under N but getting full bars in the bedroom as opposed to 2 bars with 2010 MBA and previous airport extreme.

will evaluate battery life the next couple days. old 2010 was around 2-3 hours so looking forward to a massive improvement

Backlight bleed in your old LG screen didn't bother you at all? I will consider backlight bleed to be a fault with the screen. Do you test it in the dark?
