Just bought mine today after waiting & hunting for it since it was in short supply here.

13" i5 256GB SSD 4GB RAM (the highest config. available here).

My previous laptop is a early 2008 13" Macbook so I'm super thrilled.

No idea what the difference in display is about, but mine is a LG. I wouldn't know the difference if it hit me.

Got mine this week spec is in the sig.
Cant fault it one bit at the moment, i have used many full screen apps, including such things as sublime, spotify, mail, chrome. Ok not really CPU hungry, but all in all, when I am generally surfing the web the only 2% of the cpu is being used which i think is amazing!!!

I have charged it once since I have had it, and I am still 55%

my late 2009 iMac (in sig) is still going strong so I plan to hold onto it, but yes I myself ordered a 13" i7 8GB 256GB will also be expanding it with a 128GB micro sd card when those come out.

any of you students out there have a suggestions for a good backpack for the 11" air? especially students w/ heavy-ass books (law, med students etc)?

thanks!

I think my HD is starting to fail. It still runs ok, but it's getting more hangups. I'll also be using my MBA in uni so it's a win win really.

It's coming to the end of the 3rd day and still processing. Getting impatient I guess. ;P

As someone who opened up their mac to take out the superdrive and replace with an SSD, it was so worth it. I swear my iMac is faster than when it shipped 4 years ago.

I use my iMac for my plex media center and some video editing and adobe suite work. My macbook air will be used for when I am at my college away from my iMac (3-4 times a week).

Still processing too :/ Hopefully monday something changes.

I'm most likely going to give it to my mum, she'll most likely sell it I think. If she keeps it, then I think i would try and replace the HDD. Or at least do some hardware tests.

My MBA is now getting ready for dispatch. :D

lucky!

You can do a pretty comprehensive hardware test without having to do that much.

If you have the time perhaps it is best you sell it, I assume you probably know the value of that computer best.

If harddrive is not failing and all it needs is a fresh osx install you could very well fetch top $ for it.

Just got a new Macbook Air at an awesome price!

I needed a new computer and decided to go with the new Air. Since I wanted 8gb of ram and the i7 processor I could not use the Best buy discounts, buuut....

I found this page

http://appleinsider.com/mac_price_guide

and they have a 3% discount for Macmall and Macmall have the i7, 8Gb ram and 256 for 50 dollar less than apple and no taxes in many states

So I went ahead and order two of them with Fedex Priority Overnight shipping and paid 1500 for each one!!

The apple price would have been 1657 so you save over 150 on each computer and even more if you chose free shipping ($50).

Btw, ordered them sunday nigth and got it today at 9 AM

And this baby runs awesome!!

I was worried because I wanted the 13 Retina pro but Im glad I went for the air!
The battery alone is worth the deal!
Got it at 9:30 with 90% and I have been using it almost nonstop since i got an still have 45% of battery!

Hello there,

I'm currently awaiting delivery of my MBA, Decided to get the 13" / 128GB / 8GB RAM / i7

8 days for delivery is poor, I mean I know they claim it's "Custom" however really there are not many different combinations of the different models, I was surprised they didn't have each different combo available in store!

I have been a Windows user for years & will still be using XP on a VM :)
However I have a feeling the new layout and keyboard shortcuts are going to kill me! Will take some serious getting use to!

Either way should be something new to learn :)

Peace :apple:

Took me about 3 months in total to get used to it. Hate using Win now.

Just ordered 13" i5/8GB/128. Will be replacing MBP 2006 :D. Delivery 1 week away...

I went through the DiscoverCard website which gives 5% cash back. Not sure I'll still get after going to Apple Edu. Would be nice to get another $60 back, but even if I don't I'm super excited.
