After a lifetime spent exclusively with Windows I finally jumped over to Mac and received my new 13" MBA i7/8gb/256gb yesterday and it's like a long lost friend. My only worry was that I'm a habitual right-clicker, but once I learned that a two finger click does it, I knew I was home free. Already set up for my classes with iStudiez and, like with every PC I've ever owned, still whole heartedly loathe, despise and refuse to use, iTunes. (iTunes can suck it.)
I couldn't be happier with this machine. It's fast, it's beautiful and no wi-fi issues (works at both home and at school). Got the education discount (student) and the $100 app store card was a nice addition. It's been running off full charge (not heavy use, very few videos, and a few hours of sleep in between use) since noon yesterday and it's at 28% battery showing almost 5 hours of battery left. Incredible. Probably going to be over 30 hours of on time before I need to plug it back in. Even if PC's didn't leave me easily impressed, I'd still be very much so..
Also installed the bottom and keyboard iCarbons black carbon fiber 3M "stickers" for some protection, but haven't been able to cover up the pretty apple on the top. Will probably leave that one off. Always had black laptops and this makes it feel like mine. Plus, a little scratch protection never hurt anyone, right?
Interfacelift has provided over 50 pictures to the iPhoto library to keep the desktop beautiful and my slight A.D.D. in check. (Get bored with the same picture every day)
Now to muster up the gonads to install this Win 8 iso on a boot camp partition and I'll never be going back to PC's.
