that's odd. in the canadian store there's no option for shipping. it's expedited shipping for free from UPS. Mine was "Scanned for Departure" in Shanghai since 9:45PM China time.
Looks like, next week then or around the estimated delivery time.

I hope to see an early 2014 refresh for the Air. Windows competitors are catching up with the design, especially higher res screens.
There is expedited shipping. I paid for it ($18) but because of a bank error Apple gave it to me free of charge. No it's not expedited from UPS. Without the shipping upgrade I would be receiving my Air closer to the end of the month.
Ordered on the 4th. Receiving on the 10th.
A little late posting this (bought my laptop late July), but after much deliberation I chose a MBA over the rMBP. As pretty as the screen is on the retina pro, I really liked the all day battery and portability of the air. Gotta say, the battery is absolutely amazing. I got the 13" i7/8GB/500, and I don't see the battery dying quickly at all. While all my housemates are fighting over plugs for their computers, I hardly ever have to move my charger from my bedroom. Same when I'm in class, I don't have to get there super early to get the seat next to the plugs and I can keep my brightness up. VERY happy with my purchase, and I'm going to be using this laptop for a VERY long time.
Will be a delightful experience in comparison. Pleasure replacing pain I kid you not
Maybe it's just the Canadian store. Mine was free shipping via UPS and there was no other shipping option available. Ordered almost same day as you (Sept 3) & will be delivered 10-11th. My tracking says it's in Kentucky atm. Shipped out of Shanghai on the 6th.
All custom order Apple computers ship from Shanghai.
For me it went from Shanghai to Anchorage, and now is in Buffalo. Had I not paid for expedited (which Apple refunded and gave me it still) I would be getting it a week later.
Shipping option showed up (had to click on the wording to bring up options), prior to payment method.
Remember your product is staying in the US, mine has to cross 3 borders before I get it (China, US, and Canada).

I was really really surprised how fast it got here lol! Apple's ETA was Aug 21. and ups' ETA was Aug 20.Ordered an 11" i5/8GB/128 a couple days ago and should have it in a couple days. I've always been an Apple hater but the Air appeals to me because of its weight (lack of it rather) and good battery life compared to other 11" ultrabooks. I plan on giving OS X a shot but I'm almost 100% sure I'm going to end up installing Windows on my Air.

In honesty as much as I like Windows (because that what I have used for 23 years [also used a MBP from 2007-2011]) OS X (and linux in my experience) is far far superior in every way.
I will still be using both OS systems because they do certain things better then the other but unless I'm doing C# coding I won't be using my Windows bootcamp at all or until Mono catches up to .Net 5.

Mine was at the UPS depot here at 5am and the tracker said "destination scan". Called UPS and they told me that if the package is their prior to 8am it's put on truck for delivery.
Disappointed by my refurb 2.3GHz 15" rMBP's issues and no announcement of Haswell rMBP today, I just picked up a refurb MBA 2012 13" i7 2.0GHz 8GB/256GB.
