I pulled the trigger on a 13" fully maxed with processor, RAM and SSD today. Needless to say, I am quite excited. :-D I've played with the new Airs in the stores, and they are very much the slickest computers ever designedly, IMO. Also got the SuperDrive, and AppleCare. Oh my god, I cant wait. Yes, this will be my primary (personal) computer. I also have a 2.8 GHz C2D 15" MBP which is my "work" computer (company owns it, not me.) decided it's time to own a computer again -- iPhone and iPad are not enough! :)

I'm in the DC area too. Mine left Anchorage at 4:02pm. I hope i get it early but i doubt it since i didn't pay xtra for shipping. So Thursday by 4:30 pm it is.

Ditto for DC and 4:02pm, except I'm getting conflicting info. My Apple shipment e-mail says "Arrives by Oct 26", but the FedEx site says Oct 28 by 4:30pm. Any idea which is accurate?

Where did your's ship from? Everything Ive purchased from the Apple Store so far has come from Sydney.

Im hoping thats the case here.

As it was a BTO with extra memory and the 1.6 GHz processor it came from Shangai, but shipping to here was around 3 days. Hope that helps.

Hmm. Wish I could play. Buying from a reseller is pretty boring. I can only hope that get at the same time as you guys...

Wish I lived in Australia. Then again, Toronto at least had some stock ones to play with since Friday. A chunk of Canada seems to still be waiting for them.

so does anyone have their turnaround time calculated? e.g. if someone happened to place an order for BTO maxed out 13" on saturday evening, when should it be in his/her awaiting hands? :)

So impressed with it.

I got a 13" 1.86GHz 2GB 256GB SSD on Saturday. It was showing an error on the Apple hardware test. Went to the store and they offered an exchange. I asked if they had an 4GB models so now I've got the 13" 2.13GHz 4GB 256GB SSD. Restoring from a backup now. :D

This kind of thread appears EVERY time there is a new Apple hardware platform released. This is the FOURTH one I've participated in this year alone!

Wow! This is my first apple product (a shuffle doesn't really count...) and this is really exciting! I've never been so excited about a piece of technology

Yayyy only 37 more hours until estimated delivery time. I'm gonna need you guys on here to walk me through things like the hardware test :)
