Mine is in Kentucky per the UPS tracking. I’m guessing if a signature was required it would show that request in the details?
I have the same situation; but I was looking on the UPS my choice website and it said it might need a signature.

My card just got charged for a Midnight 10/16/2 ordered a coupled of minutes after the store went back up. It’s meant to be collect from the store on 8-Aug but could it arrive sooner?

8/16/1TB Starlight here. Delivery window was initially July 20-22, but changed to July 22-26 on Monday. It still shows as "order in process" in the Apple Store app. I'm in metro Atlanta.

I was looking through old emails last night and saw that my first MacBook Pro, which this one will be replacing, arrived on July 15th, 2009. So it would be really cool if this one showed up on July 15th of this year, but I am not holding my breath.

my due on 7/15 is still preparing to ship. I wonder if they have some already in the US and thus won't ship until later today or even tomorrow. I sure hope it gets here Friday

Mine was ordered on 7/8 with a pick up date of 7/22. Then when charged date was moved back to 7/22-7/26. But last night it shipped and status changed again, but to an ambiguous time frame that may mean an earlier date, but no definite date. Just have to wait on the apple store, I guess.
So I hope you get an earlier date! It’s possible.

So still at preparing to ship, still giving Friday as delivery date. Beginning to wonder if some stock is being held in country (UK). Ordered first 5 minutes, 10/16/1T starlight.
Same issue here in the US - also wondering if stock in the US so shipping is only a day to get to me. Certainly, hope so

I am in ATL also. My order is similar to yours with similar dates and my order changed to processing on Monday as well. Going directly to the edu store my status had changed to shipped with updated dates, but the apple app and my account still says preparing to ship. Not sure where you ordered or where you have checked your status at. Maybe it’s changed for you as well?

Mine as well as several others here are already in Louisville KY but our status still shows "Preparing to Ship". They won't change to Shipped till Thursday when they leave Louisville for their intended destinations. This happens every year...I'm not sure why they don't change to shipped when they leave China.

Thanks for the heads-up! I was checking in the Apple Store app. We actually placed the order with my wife's account, in the education store on the website, as she's a teacher and of course we wanted to take advantage of the education pricing. I am at the office today, though, and I don't know her password, so I will have to have her check a bit later.

Perhaps there's hope that it'll show up sooner! Stay cool here in ATL!

I have yet to see this listed on Costco’s website. Ugh
Ok, so it’s back, but only one model and “presell” only. Either they had a very limited supply before or somebody jumped the gun, updating the website.

This is frustrating - I wasn't logged in when I placed my order. Charged to Apple Pay, and I have my order #. But when I look it up (Order # + email + phone #), it can't locate my order (placed 5 min after launch on Friday - est. delivery July 20-22). But yesterday my card was charged - a positive sign. Anyone else have a historical experience on a product launch? What was the time between a card getting charged, and delivery?

Apple doesn’t charge the card until the order moves to “Preparing to Ship,” so this is a very good sign. You might very well have it within a week, though these days with Covid supply chain problems, it could be longer.

Was anyone else charged $150 for the Edu discount but not the cost of the Air? I’m assuming the $150 is a pre auth charge but is it related to the gift card?

You’ll get it back when they send the gift card, which will happen when they ship the computer.

So yes, you pay the $150, but you get the gift card. It’s not credited against the purchase price.

Does the pending charge on my card mean it’s shipped? Showing processing still with an 8/1-8/9 delivery date.
The only pending charge I have is the sales tax. If that’s what you see then it doesn’t mean it’s shipped. That was there right after I ordered the MBA.

I used an card with monthly payments to make my purchase. I have a pending charge for the estimated tax amount from 7/8 but no pending charges yet for my monthly installment. My order status is still in "processing".

Oh same here. Thought it was some glitch or something. I was wondering the same thing, why wouldn’t it change to shipped as soon they leave China.

If you pay $150 for the $150 gift card doesn't that negate the purpose of the gift card? Or are you saying the $150 for the gift card goes away when you get the gift card?

I think they try to minimize the fact that they are holding them all for delivery. Knowing that it’s been in transit for almost a week and that Apple is artificially keeping the devices from being delivered probably irks some people. So, they send the shipping notice the day before, even though we can all see that it’s been traveling for days through China, Korea, Alaska, etc.
