Shanghai, CN —> Incheon, KR —> Anchorage, AK, US —>Your package has cleared customs and is on the way. —> Louisville, KY, US —> to your state sort, NJ land Newark sort Secaucus then to your Terminal. Terminal to out for delivery.
Delivery Date is updated every time there is a departure scan.
‘well thats the delivery that is exposed to the consumer On the web app. There is other information only UPS tracking can see That they won’t tell us like the reasons for to-be-determined tbd.
My packages usually are out for delivery straight from Secaucus. Do you think there's any chance for a quick timeline here?

So this is funny: mechanical delays pushed my delivery from today to tomorrow. I’m not going to be home tomorrow so I went to the app to have them hold it at the hub or the UPS store down the street and they want to charge me six bucks.
That’s a big ol’ nope. Going to be calling here in a moment to set that bit of nonsense straight because it’s not my fault they can’t deliver on time.

So my 8/8/16/256 configuration finally arrived, two days before the original delivery date (7/29) and well before the original delivery window (8/2 - 8/9). Bravo Apple and FedEx. Having said that, it's been an incredibly frustrating experience getting everything up and running because apparently my external HDD is beginning to fail. Initially, upon connecting my hard drive to my MBA, I was able to view its contents but then gradually I started experiencing errors. I'm currently running some recovery scan via Disk Drill but it's saying it's going to take 86 hours to complete. Regardless, I guess I'll need to invest in a new external HDD (or SSD) now. What do you all use? What would pair well with a MBA? Something that I can periodically and physically connect? What about a wireless option? Would that work better instead? Happy to ask this elsewhere if this isn't exactly the best place.

Ah man that’s the worst. I had something similar a couple years back that finally motivated me into buying a proper Synology NAS in a mirrored and striped RAID config, with an attached external drive functioning as redundant backup. Now anytime my MBA is plugged in and connected to my wifi it auto backs up to that array, which is also protected by a UPS battery backup that smart shuts it down when a power loss is detected. All said and done with drives, enclosure and UPS this ran about 700 bucks but the first time I ran into an unrecoverable drive fault I was stupid thankful I made the investment.

The delay from Secaucus to terminal truck is measured in hours, so not much difference unless you catch a weekend Sunday delay. Alaska customs was my big delay. Hoping for your Speedy delivery

That's awesome. Was it difficult to set up? And just to be clear, your MBA backs up via WiFi? I think I would prefer that vs. the hassle of constantly plugging and unplugging an external storage device though I imagine that could be eliminated via the use of a docking station. G-Drives are an option that initially interested me but of course that would still involve backups via a wired connection. Also, if I'm not mistaken Synology NAS is entirely diskless, which is another positive.

That's what I do as well, minus the attached external drive. I have redundant backup in the cloud. My MB backs up via wifi automatically when it's being charged. I also have a Windows desktop with multiple internal drives that back up to the NAS every night. The Win box is attached to the network via ethernet, as is the NAS. One of the NAS drives went belly-up last year, and replacing it was a piece of cake and with no data lost.

My MBA just cleared customs in Anchorage. I’m on the west coast. UPS is showing delivery tomorrow 7/28. But apple order online info system is saying delivery in 2-3 weeks so not sure how accurate that is. Can anyone tell me the delivery path once you clear US customs? Is it possible it’ll come 7/28 (west coast in store delivery)? Just setting mental expectations since I already had a glitch with the order. Thanks!

Guys, quick question. My 8/24/512 M2 Air has finally moved to 'preparing for shipping' on Wednesday. How long does it take from 'preparing for shipping' to actual shipping?

Been waiting since July 9, but looks like it will still be here on time (August 1-8).

Anyone having theirs shipped to NZ?
Me! Mine has been “Shipment picked up” in Shanghai since 26/7 at 17:31 local time.

Hoping DHL are just skipping a few scans here and there, and that it’ll be landing in Auckland any minute now.

My delivery date is 3 August, so plenty of time until then either way.

Ooohh we have the same exact scan too! Yes that’s what I’m hoping as well 😀
Only difference is my email from apple says it’ll be delivered 5 August!
