11 Feb 2011 20:25:00 Shanghai Shipment In Transit.
11 Feb 2011 19:50:27 Shanghai Shipment In Transit.

Mine arrived in Langenhagen (Germany) this morning on it's way to Denmark. I hoped that it would make to Denmark before the weekend, but sadly it didn't. Apple says that it will be delivered monday so it better be there monday or I'll explode. :)

looks like apple refurbish site is sold out on the model that I wanted. I was going to purchase the 2.13, 4GB, 256gb ssd. But they don't have that available on the refurb site anymore.

Also I checked the MacMall and realized that the place wasn't for me. I'm located in Cali and they charge the hefty californian tax.
Someone mention they got a free ipod with macmall? how did they do that? any way of getting the discount from this page (http://www.appleinsider.com/mac_price_guide/) stacked with ebates?

I got mine through J&R.com. It's 13", 4GB, 256GB Flash Storage, 2.13Ghz. No sales tax. The total was $1779 with one day shipping. About $200 different than macmall.

Hello everyone!!new to the Forum and my first post ever!!

My Dell XPS M1330 died on me last month after 3 years of service, after a week of researching, finally pulled the trigger on 11.6 inch MacBook Air Ultimate(first mac ever!!!) with Apple Care from an UK Educational Website.

Ordered on: 4th February
Shipped on: 7th February
Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change): 16th February (was 22nd before!!!)
Current Delivery Status: In Transit to Customer (this morning it said “preparing handover to final carrier”) - Shipment on Schedule: 11 Feb 2011

No carrier tracking number provided.

Even though I work at a computer retail store, can’t wait to get hands on it

writing this on my new MBA 13"!!

it was supposed to arrive around noon on Monday, but I lucked out :] I've never been happier!

Good luck to all those waiting, I know your pain. It'll be over before you know it!

I'm gonna rob you. I literally feel like scratching my nails on wall now!!!

STUPID SHIPPING!!!!!

The shipping is why I'm planning on walking into an Apple Retail Store and buying my 11.6" Ultimate... Especially now that I'm 99.74% sure of which model I'm going to get. :D

(The toss up is between the 11.6" Ultimate and the Base 13" MBP, in case you were wondering...)

13" display to 11" display...

For those of you that have gone from a model with a 13" display to the 11" MBA, how did you find the difference? From playing with them in the stores, the only thing I've noticed was that there would be a little bit more vertical scrolling, and I can handle that...

I know how you feel I hoped mine would get here today before the weekend, but it didn't so I'm going to get it on monday instead... Stupid weekend. The people who works in the delivery business should't be allowed to have weekends. :D

Ya know, I've had to wait over the weekend for something. I vote that we make Saturday a mandatory delivery day... They can keep Sunday.

Have you thought about calling and seeing if you can go pick it up?

Well since it's still in Germany I won't pick it up (1.000 KM from my house in Denmark) :) but don't they drive it the last part of the trip to Denmark before monday? I guess they drive it by trucks the last way.

Ah. I thought it was at the local depot, waiting to go out on a delivery truck already. Apple just needs to invent teleporters. When it's done at the factory, just beam it over!

Delivery Company shouldn't even have any holidays. Anyway my weekends wont go that bad, i have work starting tomorrow till monday, and if i can manage ill play with the demo unit that we have......only if it shipped on the tuesday, what do you guys say, is there any chance of getting it a day early???

There's always a chance. From what I've seen in the thread, it's almost standard to get it early...

I just purchased my maxed out MacBook air at my local apple store in Tulsa, Oklahoma :)

That is what I plan to do. No waiting, instant gratification...

Ordered my ultimate 11.6" refurb on Friday morning at 1am when the UK Refurb store refreshed - currently expecting delivery on Monday. Nice.

UPDATE in Australia :

12 Feb 2011 10:29:56 Pudong International Airport Shipment In Transit.
11 Feb 2011 20:46:21 Pudong International Airport Shipment Received At Transit Point.
11 Feb 2011 20:25:00 Shanghai Shipment In Transit.
11 Feb 2011 19:50:27 Shanghai Shipment In Transit.
11 Feb 2011 18:51:27 Shanghai Shipment Collected From Sender.

I ordered the MBA 13" / 128GB / 4GB RAM / 1.81GHZ. BTW here in Australia you cannot upgrade your MBA 13" 128GB processor to 2.1GHZ you can only go from 1.6ghz to 1.8ghz, instead you have to choose the MBA 13" 256GB version starting at AU$ 1,999 then pay AU$ 150 to upgrade the RAM to 4GB, then pay another AU$ 150 to upgrade the processor to 2.1GHz.

Also all MacBook Air sellers in Australia (including the Apple Store) do not sell the 4GB versions of any MacBook Air's - you instead have to order online via CTO.

The only way that I've seen that you can get the 4GB versions here in the city I live in is to either buy the Ultimate, or CTO. Everyone getting theirs makes me want mine even more...

Here in Brisbane, Australia no matter what store you go to to buy a MacBook Air, no one stocks the 4GB RAM models (even the Apple Sydney warehouse for online sales only stocks the 2GB versions), even Apple's own stores, so you must go via CTO online through the Apple Website itself to order.

Just ordered a 13" MBA (ultimate) to replace my 2006 macbook (core duo 2.0). I have a quad core desktop as my main machine so this ones going to be my couch surfer/traveler. I do need some horsepower when I travel sometimes so it should work out well and if it lasts as long as this 2006 macbook I'm on it should be well worth the price

I'm waiting for mine to arrive monday. This is what it says at UPS.com

Scheduled Delivery:
Monday, 14-02-2011, By End of Day

What time does that mean when it says "By end of day"?

Picked mine up yesterday and loving it. The only available config was the 11" wtih 2GB/128GB and the 13" stock. Since I had the first-gen 13" I went for the 11" and the portability is just unbeatable. The performance is also extremely zippy. Havent done any hard core work on it like encoding videos etc. but will will do that in the next day or two and see how it stacks up.
